If you feel that you can engage our readers through an original and inspiring essay focusing on engineering, science or technology, you could see your piece in print in The Independent newspaper, as well as winning prizes for yourself and your school!
How to enter
14-18 year olds - 500 word article
1st Prize - £700
2nd Prize - £300
5 runners up - £150
The top two schools to send in the most entries will receive £50 book vouchers each plus a Bosch hamper.
19-24 year olds - 750 word article
1st Prize - £1000
2nd Prize - £500
5 runners up - £250
