I sat in on the Falling Skies panel yesterday at WonderCon, and although I walked in not knowing much of anything about the Steven Spielberg-backed project on TNT, I walked out pretty excited to tune in when it debuts on June 19. After hearing what writers Melinda Hsu, Mark Verheiden, and star Drew Roy had to say about the series, and seeing a few sneak peeks, I came up with five reasons you should tune in this Summer. Check them out below!

• The cast — Not only does the cast consist of ER alum Noah Wyle (who's been gone from the small screen for far too long in my opinion), but also stars Moon Bloodgood (Journeyman and Terminator Salvation), and up-and-comer Drew Roy (Secretariat), who is pretty easy on the eyes as a mashup between Joseph Gordon Levitt, Jake Gyllenhaal, and John Connor.
• The story — From what I could tell from the clips, sci-fi addicts Melinda Hsu and Mark Verheiden are poised to do the genre justice. Falling Skies takes place six months after a worldwide alien invasion, where children are being rounded up and controlled with biomechanical harnesses. No one knows what they're being used for. There is a resistance movement, and the whole story feels a lot like one of my recent faves, The Walking Dead, except with, you know, aliens.

• Vimeo released its iPhone app this week, making it easier than ever to upload your mobile content.
• Speaking of apps we love, GetGlue integrated the Foursquare check-in process, making for seamless friend notification of not only where you are, but what you're watching, too.
• In Google news, the search giant added a new element called Plus One to its search results pages. The social element is similar to Facebook's Like button, but is still in the early stages of experimentation.
• Speaking of Facebook, check out this list of the most annoying personality types on Facebook according to women. Spoiler: you can probably guess more than one!
• Just in time for Thursday's opening day, Volvo announced a sponsorship deal allowing iOS users to stream games for free on their iPads, iPhones, and iPod Touches.
• Are you ready for the royal wedding? Legoland sure is. Check out the amazing wedding diorama they made depicting Prince William and Kate Middleton's impending nuptials.
• In response to some very passionate pleas, Twitter finally did away with the QuickBar.
• Finally, April Fools' came in like a lion, with Google, Hulu, and Funny or Die topping our favorite pranks from around the web.

Tron: Legacy hits DVD and Blu-ray next week (April 5), and not only does the five disc combo ($50) come with the original TRON feature film, but it's also packed with extra footage and bonus features.
