[August 24, 2010] AMD lifts the veil -- well, partway -- on its all-new x86 processor cores, the ultra-energy-efficient "Bobcat" for notebooks and the snap-together dual-core modules of "Bulldozer" for servers and desktops.[August 23, 2010] Promising snappier performance for multimedia sites and multitasking, the chipmaker unveils a dual-core Atom processor for the popular petite laptops. [August 18, 2010] Cambridge, Mass.-based Lyric Semiconductor claims that many applications that today require a thousand conventional processors will run on just one Lyric processor. [June 24, 2010] An innocuous entry for an upcoming semiconductor show gives away what could be a heretofore unannounced Intel design.
