Project Accessory winner Brian Burkhardt is still basking in the delight of his first season triumph. Not only did he take home the $100,000 grand prize to put towards his own line, he also got to design a four-piece capsule collection for Kenneth Cole, now in stores. “I feel very honored to have this opportunity,” Burkhardt told us at the collaboration’s launch party in New York City. The chance arose after Burkhardt won the sixth episode challenge with the unicorn clutch, shown, and bolero necklace—and then he added two more pieces after the season wrapped. “He took his own path,” Cole said of why Burkhardt rose to the top. InStyle’s January cover girl Jennifer Garner and her husband, Ben Affleck, just announced the birth of their third child—and it’s a boy! The proud father announced his new son’s name on Facebook, Samuel Garner Affleck, a name the couple’s daughters Violet, 6, and Seraphina, 3, helped influence. “At first they were definitely Disney, it was like Donald Duck, Minnie Mouse Affleck,” Garner told Jay Leno. “Now they’re coming up with lists and saying ‘Let’s have a baby naming contest! Let’s have a baby naming poll!’” Congrats to the entire Affleck family!

Now this is a perk of being Diane Kruger—Chanel customized a couture look just for her! The actress wore a dress from the label’s fall 2011 couture collection to the Chanel and Charles Finch Pre-Oscar Dinner in Hollywood last weekend, a look that had been significantly updated from its debut on the Paris runway. “They took off the sleeves that it was shown with and they made it strapless,” Kruger told InStyle.com of the alterations, courtesy of Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld. For an extra touch of luxury, the label sewed thee 18-karat white gold and diamond star-shaped earrings from its fine jewelry collection to the top of the dress. As for how Kruger got such a great insider bonus? “This was just a dinner, so I would never ask them to make me a dress, but Karl is a good friend, so he’s made dresses just for me,” she said. How fabulously lucky.

Pippa Middleton is putting her skiing skills to good use! The 28-year-old is in Stockholm, Sweden right now training (in a red ski jacket and black snow pants) for the Vasaloppet race, one of the world’s most popular skiing events, the Washington Post reports. She’ll complete 56-mile cross-country skiing marathon with her brother, James Middleton, and more than 15,000 other skiers on Sunday, March 4th. And it’s all for a good cause: she’s raising money for Magic Breakfast, a non-profit organization that delivers free, healthy meals to children in need. Good luck, Pip!
