Mad Men Season Five Fashion: Secrets from the Set

Mar 26, 2012 @ 5:50 pm

A new season of Mad Men premiered last night, and we caught up with the show’s costume designer Janie Bryant to get the inside scoop on the fabulous retro fashions seen on the ladies of Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce. One of our favorite looks: the flirty pink dress Joan Harris (Christina Hendricks) wore on her first day back to the office. “That look is all about her feeling beautiful, showing the office that everything is going great, and having that façade of ‘life is fantastic,’” Bryant said of the original design. Click through the gallery for Bryant’s take on more of last night’s looks, and catch the next episode of Mad Men Sunday, April 1st at 9/8c on AMC.

First Look: Bethenny Frankel’s Skinnygirl Skin and Body Care

Mar 26, 2012 @ 5:00 pm

Now you can have a Skinnygirl Margarita in a bath set! Bethenny Frankel’s new Skinnygirl skin and body care line sets out to offer a practical and affordable alternative to overpriced beauty products.“Will it make you look 20 years younger? No. Will you look and feel fresher, perkier and ready to take on the world? Absolutely,”  Frankel told InStyle.com. The collection, available exclusively at Walmart, contains everything from lip plumping glosses to exfoliants for the face and body. While the products have been an instant succces, her biggest fan is still her toddler daughter Brynn, “She’s such girlie girl, it’s all sparkles and tutus and pink,” the new mom said. “She dumps all of the products out and wants to play with them.”  Click through the gallery to see Frankel’s must-haves from the line!

Would You Wear a Titanic-Inspired Fragrance?

Mar 26, 2012 @ 3:30 pm

QVC launched a fragrance to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic, and the scent has a story as compelling as Jack and Rose‘s! Legacy 1912 Titanicä is based on the perfume vials brought onboard by passenger and British perfumer Adolphe Saafield. He survived the ship’s crash, but his scents remained on the ocean floor until they were recently recovered by RMS Titanic Inc, and replicated for QVC’s fragrance!  The delicate blend of rose, amber, and fresh lemon is available for $69 at qvc.com. Tell us, would you wear a Titanic-inspired scent?
