Girls: How to Get Allison Wiliams’ Loose Waves

Apr 15, 2012 @ 9:00 am

At the premiere of HBO’s Girls in New York City, Allison Williams (daughter of newsanchor Brian Williams) showed off her perfect frizz-free waves. “To create these sexy, cascading waves for Allison, I started off with a blow drying spray on the scalp and then smoothed gel through the ends,” her hairstylist Ted Gibson told InStyle.com, adding that he used products from his own line (tedgibsonbeauty.com). He then wrapped one-and-a-half inch sections around a large barrel curling iron. “I finished off with a light hold hairspray for instant sex appeal.” We love it!

HBO is launching another show about four women and their lives in New York City, but it’s a far cry from the network’s previous four-women smash Sex and the City. The show, Girls, stars Zosia Mamet (daughter of playwright David Mamet), Jemima Kirke, Lena Dunham (the filmmaker behind Tiny Furniture), and Allison Williams (daughter of news anchor Brian Williams), who all celebrated their new comedy at last night’s Cinema Society-hosted screening, held at the School of Visual Arts Theater in NYC. Created and produced by 25-year-old Dunham, the series focuses on a group of friends trying to launch their post-college lives, and premieres on HBO April 15th at 10:30 p.m. Other attendees included executive producers Judd Apatow and wife Leslie Mann, as well as Claire Danes and Kyra Sedgwick.
