Responsibilities include:
- Writing feature-length articles
- Editing junior staffers' articles (1 to 2 a week)

- Tracking content metrics

- Hiring and managing one full-time intern and two part-time interns
Requirements:
- Proven ability to write intelligent, well-researched, feature-length articles in a writing style that is conversational and engaging
- Inspired ideas for high quality content and an ability to brainstorm imaginative ideas with little to no lead time
- Very strong headline-writing skills, including teaser copy and compelling, must-click hyperlinks

About the Job:
Total Beauty Media, one of the fastest-growing media publishers for women, is seeking a talented full-time Front-end Developer to join our dedicated team.
The Front-end developer will help our engineering and development group realize and execute complex UI challenges utilizing the most up-to-date open standards and practices in use on the Web today. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining site-wide HTML and CSS coding standards, functional integration of design concepts into a PHP-based content management system, and recommending new processes for improving overall user-friendliness of site components.
Reporting to the Director of Product Development, the ideal candidate must be an extremely self-motivated individual who has worked on enterprise-level applications and who is an ardent evangelizer of progressive Web standards and techniques (the more cutting-edge the better!). The candidate will also be extremely adept in UI conceptualization and be able to work on multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced media environment with limited supervision.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work closely with site engineers and art directors to combine functional and creative assets.
- Develop and optimize site pages utilizing XHTML, CSS, and Javascript, establishing best practices, keeping in mind site load and cross-platform and cross-browser compatibility
- Work with art directors and project managers to conceive innovative front-end solutions to UI challenges
- Work with other departments to develop concept and advertorial sites for promotional and presentation use
- Spearhead front-end development for mobile and social media applications
- Maintain all analytics and ad trafficking tags (Google, DART), and manage reporting systems

Primarily Responsibilities:
- Identify opportunities for Total Beauty to elevate its presence in the industry through conference speaking engagements, industry awards programs and sponsorships

The Interactive Marketing intern will aid in developing new products and strategies for driving new email subscribers, improving key email metrics & deliverability (including delivered, open and click-through rates), and working with cross-functional teams to optimize the ROI of our email products, database, and mobile engagement through best practices.
Prior direct experience with email-specific marketing development is helpful but not required. In addition to managing design and email delivery, strong candidates should have some experience list building via on-site components as well as via social media channels and strategic co-registration partnerships.
Primarily Responsibilities:
- Basic understanding of html coding (Dreamweaver)
- Assist direct/email team in management of the planning, development, testing and execution of daily emails for assigned sites under Total Beauty Media Inc.
