Hey there, it's Allison. Today I'm going to show you how to take a basic cuff and turn it into a fantastic embellished bracelet that will add a hint of glitz to any outfit. Not only is it easy and fun, it's an affordable and personalized gift that your friends will love for the holidays.
Here's what you'll need: a cuff, inexpensive is fine, we got ours at Forever 21 for less than $5; rhinestones, interesting shapes are nice; nail polish; top coat; glass and bead glue; and sponge brushes to apply the glue.
The first step is to lay out your pattern. We recommend using clear rhinestones if you can find them, but colored ones will work too if your polish is dark enough.
Once you're happy with your pattern, it's time to start painting. You can use any color nail polish you want. We went with jewel tones because they were big on the Fall runways, and they're great for the holidays. A tip here is if you're using colored jewels like we are, it's best to use nail polishes in the same color family as the jewels.
You're gonna apply three to four coats and then a top coat. After your jewels are dry it's time to glue them onto your cuff. I think the smartest way is to start with the center piece and then glue outward. So now you've made a really cute bejeweled cuff, but make sure you let it dry overnight before you wear it or giftwrap it.
I'm Allison, see you next time on Fab Sugar TV.
