Show Your Style at Your Wedding Reception: TARDIS Candleholders and Papercrafts!

Updated 04/18/12 10:10 AM · Posted by · 0 comments

It's your prerogative to embody your style at your wedding, even if that means taking a step over to the geeky side. We spotted these adorably geeky wedding centerpieces, captured by Hibou Photography, which give the wedding a fun and personal touch without going overboard in the cheese department.

Wondering where you can get your own TARDIS candleholders? We found something similar on Etsy for $22 a pop. And while the Cubeecraft papercrafts may take some time (and lots of bridesmaids) to put together, they are a cute addition to any tablescape. Check out a few more photos in the gallery!

How-To: Hide Facebook Comments, Posts, Photos, and More Without Unfriending

Updated 04/18/12 7:05 AM · Posted by · 0 comments

I know you know what I'm talking about. Everyone has one, that Facebook friend who will not stop with the constant stream of Facebook status updates. Maybe you accepted a friend request from a girl you knew in high school to be nice, only to be bombarded about her child's every giggle, coo, and poop. Or there's the friend who's bored at work and needs to let you know whenever he desires a soy latte.

Creating groups is one way to keep updates from showing up in your news feed, but my best friends for sanity on Facebook are the "Hide" and "Unsubscribe" buttons. To use them, just hover over the chatty offender's status update. Click the "X" on the top right corner, and you can choose to hide that particular story, unsubscribe from comments and likes, or unsubscribe from their updates altogether.

If you long for more options (of course you do), click through the gallery to find out how to selectively unsubscribe from certain kinds of updates, like those annoying game updates or Instagram pics.
