Rebecca Taylor on Dressing Kate Middleton: “She Looked Impeccable”

Duchess Catherine wore a blue tweed Rebecca Taylor skirt suit to an event in London today, and we caught up with the New Zealand-born, New York-based designer to get the inside scoop on dressing the royal. “I thought she looked impeccable as always, very clean,” Taylor told InStyle.com. “I’m such a royalist, and I think Catherine is so perfect for the royal family. She’s got such style.” We agree! Next on Taylor’s agenda: “It’s early morning in New Zealand, but when my mum and dad wake up, I’m going to call them,” she said. “They’re going to freak!“

An all-new episode of Revenge aired last night, and we caught up Ashley Madekwe to get the inside scoop on her outfit. “We had the misfortune of trying to shoot winter scenes during spring in L.A. when there were very few coats left in stores, but we managed to snag this gorgeous Gucci number,” she told InStyle.com. And what was underneath? “I’m wearing a grey wool Theory dress and the Burberry ankle boots that have been with me since the pilot. We felt the outfit was looking a little conservative so we added some sass with a pair of plaid Rag & Bone gloves.” Nice touch! My friends always joke that I’m the go-to person for advice on gifts and gear,” the model-turned-mogul said in a statement. “Now, I get to bring my ideas to moms everywhere that offer function with a fashionable flair.” Offerings include everything from bedding and stuffed animals to strollers and high chairs, as well as whimsical clothing for infants to 5-year-olds. Christian Louboutin to Design Cinderella’s Glass Slippers!

Christian Louboutin is putting his magic touch on Cinderella’s glass slippers! The French designer was commissioned by Disney to create his own version of the iconic shoes for the classic cartoon’s DVD re-launch this summer, WWD reports. “I have been so lucky to have crossed paths with Cinderella, an icon who is so emblematic to the shoe world as well as the dream world,” he said. The slippers won’t be revealed until July, but we’re guessing Louboutin’s update on the fairytale footwear will include red soles and sexy stiletto heels. What will Prince Charming think?
