Beyonce launched three new web ventures today—a Twitter account (@BEYONCE), a revamped personal website (beyonce.com), and a Tumblr (beyonce.tumblr.com)! “It’s been a long time coming,” she writes“But I finally have my own place on the web. This is only the beginning, we have so much planned for my site.” For now, visitors to beyonce.com can see snapshots of Bey and Jay-Z on vacation, videos of the then-pregnant pop star getting close to a “blue ivy” tree, and House of Dereon’s latest lookbook. There’s also a fan page called the “Beyhive,” and a special “Vault” section where Beyonce posts editorials and music videos. We can’t wait to see what else she delivers!

The Girls, HBOStartracksphoto

HBO is launching another show about four women and their lives in New York City, but it’s a far cry from the network’s previous four-women smash Sex and the City. The show, Girls, stars Zosia Mamet (daughter of playwright David Mamet), Jemima Kirke, Lena Dunham (the filmmaker behind Tiny Furniture), and Allison Williams (daughter of news anchor Brian Williams), who all celebrated their new comedy at last night’s Cinema Society-hosted screening, held at the School of Visual Arts Theater in NYC. Created and produced by 25-year-old Dunham, the series focuses on a group of friends trying to launch their post-college lives, and premieres on HBO April 15th at 10:30 p.m. Other attendees included executive producers Judd Apatow and wife Leslie Mann, as well as Claire Danes and Kyra Sedgwick. See the photos—along with more party pictures—in the gallery now.

The Secret to Perfect Red Lips

Apr 5, 2012 @ 2:30 pm

Minka Kelly gave her classic red lip look a modern edge with a swipe of shiny gloss. But here’s the secret to mastering the standout color: Red lipstick looks best with a clean shape, so be sure to line lips with a nude lip liner before puckering up. Choose a liner that is slightly lighter than your lipstick, but in the same color family so the two shades blend together. Crimson lip liner may come off as harsh, and if it’s not a perfect match, the effect will have too much contrast. Finish by smoothing a clear gloss over your pout, and apply eye makeup with a light hand.

Audrey Hepburn‘s timeless style continues to inspire, most recently with the release of a new book by photographer Bob Willoughby titled Bob Willoughby: Audrey Hepburn, out today. “She took my hand…well, like a princess, and dazzled me with that smile that God designed to melt mortal men’s hearts,” said the shutterbug, who followed her from her career start in the 1950s to the height of her My Fair Lady fame. The new tome features 280 pages worth of shots of the private actress, many never before seen. Preview Willoughby’s photos in the gallery—her memorable smile prominently featured—and find the book on amazon.com for $70 (on sale now for $44). For Hepburn memorabilia collectors, there is also a limited-edition volume available at taschen.com.
