  • If you are a minor, access to, and use of the internet, is the responsibility of a parent or legal guardian

Library User Conduct Policy

In order to provide an atmosphere conducive to research and study at the Connecticut State Library Building at 231 Capitol Avenue, Hartford, the Library expects all library users to respect the rights of other library users; comply with the directions given by staff; and comply with library policies and all applicable state and federal laws and regulations. Failure to comply with any portion of this policy may result in suspension of library privileges or expulsion from the Library. Interlibrary Loan (ILL)

Interlibrary loan is a service to other libraries who wish to borrow material from the State Library collections and facilities

Borrowing from the State Library in Hartford

The State Library will lend items or send copies via Interlibrary Loan service only to other libraries, not to individuals. Any item that circulates or can be copied and mailed will be sent to libraries in the U.S., Canada and Mexico, to military bases with an APO or FPO address, and to these U.S. territories: American Samoa, Guam, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.Read more
