FIFA TV - Host Broadcasting
FIFA’s myriad of football competitions, spearheaded by the FIFA World Cup, can be followed by hundreds of millions of people all over the world thanks to the medium of television and other media platforms. To this end, FIFA’s TV Division manages and maintains a close relationship with its many media rights licensees with the principal objective of delivering the best-possible football viewing experience to screens.

The Sales & Distribution Department’s main responsibility is the placement of FIFA’s media rights with broadcasters, radio stations, online and mobile outlets around the world. FIFA TV handles the distribution directly with broadcasters.

FIFA TV - Broadcaster Servicing
The FIFA Broadcaster Servicing Department ensures that media rights licensees receive the highest possible standard of service. The primary goal of this dedicated and highly qualified team of specialists is to ensure that all rights and obligations set out in each media rights agreement are delivered and adhered to. Above all, FIFA endeavours to be in close personal contact with the media rights licensees to ensure the best possible communication flow both on-site during the various FIFA events and also throughout the rest of the year. 

FIFA Films & Productions

FIFA TV - FIFA Films and Products
FIFA Films manages, maintains and commercialises FIFA’s unique audiovisual archive. Based in Zurich and Zug, Switzerland, FIFA Films holds over 30,000 hours of reels, video tapes and digital files. Some of the footage dates back to 1930, the year of the first FIFA World Cup™ in Uruguay. The collection also contains moving images from all FIFA competitions to date, such as the FIFA Women’s World Cup™, the FIFA Club World Cup, the various FIFA World Cups at youth level for both men and women, the Futsal and the Beach Soccer World Cups.

Host broadcasting

FIFA TV - Host Broadcasting
Delivery of FIFA-standard broadcast signals and services at FIFA events is the main task of the Host Broadcasting Production Department. At each FIFA event, the department works closely with all stakeholders (the Local Organising Committee, the FIFA-appointed host broadcaster, etc.) to ensure the facilities at each venue and in the event’s International Broadcast Centre are of the highest standard, and then broadcast the matches to a global audience. The department also provides TV-related services to all relevant stakeholders on site.

Public Viewing

FIFA TV - Public Viewing
Public viewing has become a firm fixture of the fan culture of the FIFA World Cup™, providing fans with a unique and exciting opportunity to experience all the action and atmosphere of one of the world’s greatest sports spectacles outside the stadiums. FIFA TV is responsible for the management of the public viewing rights to FIFA events, including the licensing of these events under given guidelines.
