Purpose

The purpose of this web-based teaching resource is to provide teachers and students at upper secondary education institutions with the best possible interactive tool for teaching and learning about the Holocaust.


Hvem st�r bag?

The web site is developed by Brian BM Larsen (b. 1974) and Peter Vogelsang (b. 1974), both M.A. in History from University of Copenhagen, Denmark. The resource is developed under the auspices of the Danish Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies. Supervisor and consultant is Associate Professor Karl Christian Lammers, Department of History, University of Copenhagen. The man behind the serious technical stuff is Svein Waagstein Rasmussen.


Who have written the texts?

Where nothing else is specified, Brian BM Larsen and Peter Vogelsang have written the texts.


Target group

Primarily teachers and students at upper secondary schools (senior high schools/Gymnasium). Hopefully, other people interested can benefit from the content as well.


Differentiation

Most of the texts have a brief introductory text, followed by an elaboration. In most of the sections, the elaboration text can be found under �More about�.


Selection of topics

The authors behind this web site have independently decided what topics the Holocaust resource should include. The authors are well aware that the weighting of topics against each other might lead to unintended causal connections.


Selection of literature

The authors behind this web site have independently decided what books and scholarship to use for background material.
