My name is David Lown and I am an

For more years than I care to remember, I have had the pleasure of introducing students, and non-students alike, to the treasures of Florence, a city which, in the 15th century, witnessed one of the greatest bursts of artistic creativity the world has ever known.
So many giants of the Renaissance were born in Florence, figures such as Brunelleschi, Donatello and Botticelli, to name but a few. And much of what they created can still be seen throughout this fascinating city.
