වර්ඩ්ප්රෙස් සිංහල අඩවියට සාදරයෙන් පිළිගනිමු. වර්ඩ්ප්රෙස් යනු වෙබ් ප්රමිතීන්, භාවිත හැකියාව, අලංකාරය යන සියල්ලටම මුල් තැන ලබාදෙන නවීන බ්ලොග්කරණ මෘදුකාංගයකි. වර්ඩ්ප්රෙස් නොමිලේ ලබාදෙන මෘදුකාංගයක් වන අතර එය මිළ කළ නොහැකි වටිනාකමකින් යුක්ත වන්නකි.
කෙටියෙන්ම කිවහොත්, වර්ඩ්ප්රෙස් යනු ඔබේ බ්ලොග්කරණ මෘදුකාංගයයි.
ස්ථාපනය
වර්ඩ්ප්රෙස් මිනිත්තු 5ක් ඇතුළත ස්ථාපනය කර සූදානම් කළ හැකි මෘදුකාංගයක් වශයෙන් ප්රසිද්ධයි! ස්ථාපනය කරන ආකාරය:
- දැනටමත් කර නැතිනම්, වර්ඩ්ප්රෙස් නිකුතුව ලබාගෙන unzip කරන්න.
- ඔබේ සර්වරයේ වර්ඩ්ප්රෙස් සඳහා MySQL දත්තගබඩාවක් (database) සාදන්න.
- wp-config-sample.php යන ගොනුව wp-config.php ලෙස නැවත නම් කරන්න.
- එම ගොනුව ඔබේ ප්රියතම වදන් සකසනයක (notepad, gedit වැනි) විවෘත කරන්න. ඉන්පසු දත්තගබඩාවේ තොරතුරු සහ අවශ්ය නම් භාෂාවේ තොරතුරුද එතැන පුරවන්න.
- ඔබේ වර්ඩ්ප්රෙස් ගොනු සියල්ල ඔබේ සර්වරයේ අවශ්ය ස්ථානයකට ලබාදෙන්න.
- ඔබේ ප්රියතම වෙබ් බ්රවුසරය මගින් wp-admin/install.php වෙත පිවිස ස්ථාපනය අරඹන්න.

අත්යවශ්යයි: සිංහල වර්ඩ්ප්රෙස්හි කාලය නිවැරදිව දැක්වීම සඳහා සැකසුම් හි තිබෙන කාල ආකෘතිය a g:i ලෙස සකසන්න.
ඔබට දැනටමත් ඉංග්රීසි බසින් ක්රියාත්මක වන වර්ඩ්ප්රෙස් ස්ථාපනයක් ඇත්නම් si_LK.mo ගොනුව wp-content/languages වෙත පිටපත් කරන්න. ඉන්පසු wp-config.php ගොනුවේ define (‘WPLANG’, ”) යන්න define (‘WPLANG’, ‘si_LK’) ලෙස වෙනස් කර සුරකින්න.
