I have recently been involved in organising conferences for the Earth Building Association, In which, of for less than $200, we provide motel accommodation and fresh cooked catering for all meals for ...3 whole days, with both speakers in the morning and hands on workshops in the afternoon for about 150 attendees. When I attended the 3D conference, I was very disappointed at what was offered for the ticket price of $800 for 2 days, print my own ticket, no accommodation, only a coffee tea table set up at the back of a room their effort of catering, the room was full of stackable hard seat chairs. The PA sound was awful, puny and clothy I could not hear the speakers with any clarity , the two keynote speakers I did sit through were both a soft sell sale pitched at beginner levels, I am an reasonably accomplished user of 3d printer. I learnt nothing new. I gave it away after those 2 speakers and went off to the exhibition area where I learnt much more.
When I booked in February, I could not find a ticket option for the Expo Hall only, which was the main reason for me going. so had to resort to the expensive one or two day ticket options ( in which I booked for one day ) until I received the event reminder a week or two for the event itself for a free entry into expo marketplace only option was mysteriously now on offer. Very Unimpressed, I felt scammed. I would not recommend it to anyone and I won't be attending any further of these conferences.

Lot's of great information. The presentation skill and technical level of most speakers was first rate.
I'll be purchasing materials from a couple of the vendors. I wish there had been both more atte...ndees and vendors.
