Yesterday announced sanctions on 20 Saudi nationals involved in Khashoggi’s killing. Also yesterday allowed new licences for arms sales to Saudi following a court ban last year. A ludicrous contradiction. Does the g’vt stand for human rights or not?!

This decision by the UK Govt flies in the face of the huge amount of evidence gathered by organisations such as , , , and ourselves that the SLC has consistently and flagrantly breached IHL in Yemen.

Absolutely appalling. The U.K. government knows full well that Saudi regime is guilty of ongoing war crimes in Yemen. Resuming arms sales to further supply Saudi with murder weapons makes U.K. complicit.

Shocking news: Westminster government allows resumption of arms sales to Saudi Arabia. Justice and Peace Scotland joins with CAAT in condemning this move that is far from just and threatens peace.
