NEW memo from Warren Commission Assistant Counsel and author Howard Willens: “The Imaginary Conspiracy: Unmasking JFK’s Invisible Second Shooter on the Grassy Knoll”: https://bit.ly/2WA33l3

On October 29, 2018, I participated in a debate sponsored by the The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza. The program was called “Conflicting Conclusions” and my opponent was Professor G. Robert Blakely, who served as the general counsel and staff director of the House Select Committee on Assassinations (1977-79). The title reflected the fact that the Warren Commission (1963-64), where I was an assistant counsel, and the House Select Committee had reached different conclusions... regarding the existence of a conspiracy to assassinate Present Kennedy.

The Warren Commission had concluded that there was no evidence of a conspiracy. Based on acoustics evidence the Select Committee concluded that there was a conspiracy involving an invisible second shooter from the grassy knoll adjacent to the motorcade route. In preparation for the debate I reviewed the material that I had collected in the course of writing my book “History Will Prove Us Right (2013) and some new studies that were not available at that time. The video of the two hour program is available on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=juyYn9eDSHg

I am sure that Professor Blakey would agree that we did not have a very satisfactory exchange of views on this important subject. Because I believe that the Select Committee’s finding is clearly wrong, I have prepared the following memorandum entitled: “The Imaginary Conspiracy: Unmasking JFK’s Invisible Second Shooter on the Grassy Knoll.”
