Completed on 28 September 1933 as passenger/cargo vessel.
Displacement: 556 tons.
Dimentions: 60.9 x 10.4 feet.

Requisitioned by the RIN on 28 August 1939.
HMIS Prabhavati (T/Lt. Douglas Murray Stafford, RINR) was sunk in error by gunfire from HMS Glasgow west of Goa in position 15º20'N, 72º29'E whilst towing two barges. On board Glasgow the shape of Prabhavati with the two barges looked like the conning tower of a submarine. Therefore fire was opened and Prabhavati unfortunately sunk.
