Formed in 2009, the Archive Team (not to be confused with the archive.org Archive-It Team) is a rogue archivist collective dedicated to saving copies of rapidly dying or deleted websites for the sake of history and digital heritage. The group is 100% composed of volunteers and interested parties, and has expanded into a large amount of related projects for saving online and digital history.
The Eclipse Graphical Editing Framework™ (GEF) provides Eclipse-integrated end-user tools in terms of a Graphviz authoring (DOT editor, DOT Graph view) and a word cloud rendering environment (Tag Cloud view), as well as framework components (Common, Geometry, FX, MVC, Graph, Layout, Zest, DOT, and Cloudio) to create rich graphical Java client applications, Eclipse-integrated or standalone.

Please note that the legacy components Draw2d 3.x, GEF (MVC) 3.x, and Zest 1.x have been put into 'pure maintenance' mode. As they are still an integral part of the Eclipse ecosystem, we will continue to include them in the simultaneous release, but new revisions will only be created as patches are provided by the community. To indicate that the GEF4 code base is the new production code base, we have transferred it to the original 'GEF' namespace at the beginning of the Oxygen release stream, so that all its features and bundles now provide the 'org.eclipse.gef' instead of the 'org.eclipse.gef4' namespace (increasing their versions from 1.0.0 to 5.0.0). While the namespaces of the legacy components ('org.eclipse.draw2d', 'org.eclipse.gef', 'org.eclipse.zest') have been preserved, they are now referred to as 'GEF-Legacy'.
