Areviews – Import Photo & Video Reviews for WooCommerce

Import thousands of reviews. One click.

Paste a product URL and Areviews pulls in every real photo and video review — from 16 marketplaces, 5 dropshipping apps, Loox, Judge.me or a CSV. Up to 1,500 per URL, or your whole catalogue in one pass. Then it filters them, translates them into your shopper’s language, and re-imports new ones daily.

Free plan · No credit card · 20+ ways to import · Importing reviews since 2017 · 4.8 ★ from 200+ merchants

An Areviews account is required. This plugin connects your WooCommerce store to the hosted Areviews service and places its widgets on your storefront; it does not store or render reviews on its own. See External services below for exactly what data leaves your site, and when.

A product page with no reviews is a page that doesn’t sell

Your ads are running today. Your traffic is landing today. But every new store starts at zero reviews — and shoppers who see zero reviews leave. Areviews closes that gap on day one, with reviews real buyers already wrote about the exact same product.

  • 16 marketplaces to pull real reviews from
  • 60 seconds from pasting a URL to reviews live on your page
  • 0 orders needed to get started

16 marketplaces. 20+ ways in

  • 5 sites straight from a URL — AliExpress, eBay, Etsy, Banggood, Wish. No extension needed.
  • 11 more via the free Areviews Chrome extension — Amazon, Shopee, Shein, Temu, Walmart, Alibaba, 1688, Taobao, TikTok Shop, Wayfair, CJdropshipping.
  • Dropshipping apps — selling through DSers, Dropified, Importify, Modalyst or Expressify? Import straight from them.
  • Leaving Loox or Judge.me? Pull reviews off their live product pages — no CSV export to wrangle.
  • CSV / Excel import, compatible with Yotpo and Stamped exports.

Three steps. No developer. No CSV wrangling

  1. Paste a product URL. Drop in any AliExpress, Amazon, Temu, Shein or TikTok Shop link — or bulk-import your whole catalogue with the Chrome extension or a CSV.
  2. Choose what gets in. Set the rules once: minimum stars, photos only, minimum length, allowed countries and languages, banned words, name generator, duplicate removal. Only reviews worth showing ever reach your store.
  3. Publish and forget. Pick a widget, match it to your theme, hit publish. Auto-sync keeps pulling new reviews in so your products never look abandoned — and Google picks up the star ratings automatically.

One link in. Up to 1,500 reviews out

Paste a link and Areviews collects the whole review page for you — text, star rating, country, date, buyer photos and buyer videos. Do one product, or run your entire catalogue through the free Chrome extension in a single pass, then let auto-sync re-import daily.

Answer the question that’s stopping the sale

Reviews tell a shopper what other people thought. A Q&A tells them the one thing they personally need to know before they’ll pay.

  • Import up to 50 real questions per product straight from an AliExpress URL
  • Shoppers post their own questions on your product page; you answer from the dashboard
  • Official answers, customer answers, helpful votes and question search
  • The design matches your review theme automatically — nothing to restyle

Reviews in the language your shopper actually reads

Areviews translates every review automatically — and can pick the language from the visitor’s own location, so a shopper in Brazil sees Portuguese and a shopper in Berlin sees German.

  • Auto-detect by visitor IP, or lock the whole store to one language
  • Translate per widget — reviews box, slider, popup, reels and the rest
  • Section headings and buttons translate too, not just review text
  • The dashboard itself speaks 13 languages, Arabic and RTL included

Gold stars in Google. Ratings in your Shopping ads

Every review Areviews publishes is wrapped in valid review schema, so Google can show the star rating next to your product in organic results. Feed the same ratings into Google Merchant Center and your Shopping ads carry them too.

  • Rich snippets generated automatically through WooCommerce (and Yoast SEO) product structured data — nothing to code
  • Google Shopping XML feed for product ratings and reviews
  • Category pages get star ratings too, not just product pages

Then start collecting reviews of your own — on autopilot

Imported reviews get you off zero. Your own customers keep you honest. Areviews emails every buyer at the right moment after the order and can attach a discount code as a thank-you.

  • Review-request emails with photo & video upload, sent for paid and completed orders
  • Auto-generated WooCommerce coupons for a review, or a bigger one for a review with photos
  • Verified-buyer badge on reviews from your own customers
  • Import past orders from the dashboard to start collecting from day one

Photos and video, not walls of grey text

A review with a real buyer photo is worth ten without one. Areviews imports buyer images and buyer videos, cleans them up, and can show them as an Instagram-style Reels strip that shoppers tap through.

  • Video reviews imported from Amazon, Shopee, AliExpress and more
  • Review Reels — a stories-style strip built from your best media
  • Image manager: crop, remove, replace or bulk-delete imported photos
  • Photos-only filters, so no thin text-only review ever gets published

Sixteen ways to put proof in front of a shopper

Not “a reviews widget”. Sixteen named, separately designed placements — on the product page, the shop page, the cart, the home page, and floating over all of it. Every widget has its own designer: colours, fonts, layout, star style. All switched on and placed from the Areviews dashboard; nothing to edit in your theme.

  • Product Reviews Box — the main block under your product: 7 headers × 12 layouts, photos, filters, sorting and pagination ([areviews])
  • Happy Customers Page — a dedicated testimonials page built from every review in your store, created in one click ([areviews_reviews_page])
  • Reviews Slider — a carousel of your best reviews, 31 built-in styles, for any page ([areviews_slider])
  • Review Popup — recent-purchase style pop-ups that surface a real review at the moment of hesitation
  • Floating Reviews — a review card that rides along the edge of the page as the shopper scrolls
  • Floating Bubbles — tiny customer-photo bubbles that pop in one by one
  • Mini Slider — a compact strip that fits right under the Add-to-cart button ([areviews_mini_slider])
  • Side Widget — a pull-out tab pinned to the edge of every page
  • World Proof Map — “Loved in 27 countries”: a live map with a ticker of where reviews are coming from
  • Review Reels — stories-style tappable video and photo reviews
  • Collection Stars — star ratings on every product card on shop and category pages
  • Cart Widget — reassurance at the exact step where carts get abandoned ([areviews_cart_reviews])
  • Home Page Reviews — store-level social proof above the fold ([areviews_home_reviews])
  • One-Product Store — a layout built for single-product and landing-page stores
  • Review Badge — a small trust badge with your store’s average rating
  • AI Review Summary — one AI-written paragraph that tells a shopper what 1,200 reviews actually say

Eight years of merchant requests, shipped

  • Auto-sync, daily — every day Areviews goes back to the source product and re-imports whatever is new, on its own.
  • Importing filters — minimum stars, minimum length, photos only, country, language, banned words, name generator, price filter, duplicate removal — applied before and after import.
  • A design studio, not a colour picker — 84 reviews-box combinations, 31 slider styles, and per-widget control of layout, colours, fonts, star shapes, avatars, badges, loading animation and pagination.
  • Review management in bulk — publish, unpublish, pin or delete in one click; reply to reviews; moderate photo and video submissions; edit stars, name, date and comment. Opening a second store? Copy every review across.
  • AI support — an in-app AI assistant that walks you through any setting. Human support in English & Arabic, 7 days a week.

Getting started

  1. Install and activate the plugin (WooCommerce required).
  2. Create a free account at areviewsapp.com and register your store URL.
  3. Paste the connection key into WP Admin > Areviews and click Connect Store. Your products are synced automatically and kept in sync.
  4. Paste one product URL in the Areviews dashboard — and watch a thousand real reviews land on your product page before your coffee gets cold.

Privacy

Order and customer data (including customer email addresses) is sent to Areviews so that review-request emails can be delivered. Connecting your store is an explicit, manual action — nothing is transmitted until you enter a connection key and click Connect Store, and disconnecting stops it. If your store serves visitors in the EU/UK, mention Areviews as a processor in your own privacy policy.

External services

This plugin connects your site to Areviews, a third-party review service operated by Areviews (https://areviewsapp.com). The plugin cannot function without it. The service endpoint is https://wordpress.areviewsapp.com unless you change it on the settings screen.

  • Service: Areviews — https://areviewsapp.com
  • Terms of use: https://wordpress.areviewsapp.com/terms_and_conditions
  • Privacy policy: https://wordpress.areviewsapp.com/privacy_policy

What is sent, and when

  1. Connecting or disconnecting the store (when you click Connect or Disconnect in WP Admin > Areviews, and when the plugin is deactivated): your site URL, site title, store domain, the site administrator email address, and your WordPress, WooCommerce and plugin versions.
  2. Widget settings check (while storefront pages are rendered, at most once a minute): your store domain only.
  3. Product changes (whenever a product is created, updated, trashed or deleted): product ID, name, slug, URL, status, SKU, price, image URL and creation date.
  4. Orders (when an order becomes Processing or Completed, and when you run the past-orders import from the Areviews dashboard): order ID and number, currency, order-status URL, line items (product ID, name, quantity), and the customer’s ID, billing email address, first and last name, and billing / shipping country. This is what the review-request emails are addressed with.
  5. Google rich snippets (on product pages, only while the feature is enabled in the Areviews dashboard; cached for 6 hours): your store domain and the product ID.
  6. Rendering a widget — sent from the visitor’s browser to https://wordpress.areviewsapp.com/api/display_reviews_api on pages that show a widget: your store domain, the public widget token, the product ID, and, for signed-in customers only, the WordPress user ID and email address so that “verified buyer” and “you already reviewed this” can be resolved.
  7. Widget markup and scripts — the widgets are rendered by the service and placed into the page by the plugin’s script, and the Review Bubbles, Review Reels and World Map widgets are loaded as JavaScript from https://wordpress.areviewsapp.com/js_codes/ on product pages, only while those widgets are switched on in the Areviews dashboard. As with any remote asset, these requests tell the service the visitor’s IP address and user agent.

These three widgets are served from Areviews rather than bundled in the plugin because they are part of the hosted service and change with it: their layout, animation and data handling are improved on a rolling basis and the rendering has to stay in step with the dashboard settings and the review API that drives them. Shipping them inside the plugin would mean every design change waited on a plugin release and on each merchant updating, and stores on older versions would render widgets the service no longer supports. They are ordinary, readable JavaScript served over HTTPS from the documented service endpoint, they are requested only on product pages and only for widgets the merchant has switched on, and they are browser-cached like any other script.

  8. Theme compatibility supportoff by default, and only useful when a widget is not appearing. Some themes rewrite the WooCommerce templates and remove the hooks the Areviews widgets attach to, which is why a widget can be enabled in the dashboard and still not show. Ticking “Theme compatibility support” in WP Admin > Areviews lets our support team read the layout files responsible: your theme’s WooCommerce templates (product, shop / category, cart), its layout files (style.css, header, footer, theme.json, woocommerce.php), any Site Editor templates for those pages, and your WordPress, WooCommerce and PHP versions with the list of active plugins.

functions.php, wp-config.php, your uploads, your database and all customer, order and personal data are out of scope. The list of files is fixed in the plugin’s source and folders are never scanned, so nothing outside that list can be requested; anything resembling a key or password inside a template is masked before it is sent. While the setting is off the endpoint refuses every request.

Areviews also reads store data back from your site over signed REST requests (/wp-json/areviews/v1/…) for products, orders, verified-buyer checks and review-reward coupons. Every request in both directions is signed with the connection key you pasted in, and requests older than five minutes are refused.
