The concierge rides along as your shopper browses — it knows the page they’re on and works with your store, not beside it.

• Your catalog, AI-ready. Backpilot reads your catalog straight from the WooCommerce Store API — the same public data any visitor’s browser sees — and turns it into a structure an AI can reason about. No scraping, no fragile mappings.

• A cart your store recognizes. The concierge builds the cart in your shopper’s own WooCommerce session, then hands them to the checkout you already run. One order, one source of truth.

• Continuous sync, no stale answers. Sell a unit, change a price, ship a new SKU — Backpilot stays in sync. Shoppers in chat see what’s actually in stock at the price you actually charge.

The free tier includes up to 50 shopper conversations per calendar month, at no charge. One conversation is one chat session in which a shopper has sent at least one message, and the count resets on the first day of each month. When a month’s conversations are used up, the concierge simply stops appearing on your storefront until the count resets.

🔌 External services

The plugin is the connector between your store and the Backpilot service, which powers the concierge; the service is required for the plugin to work.

Nothing is sent until you click Connect. After that: connecting registers your shop with the service (your site’s URL, your administrator email — used only to tell you when your shop goes live or needs attention — and your WordPress, WooCommerce and plugin versions); the service then reads your public product catalog through the standard WooCommerce Store API and keeps it in sync; your site periodically checks your shop’s status using the site key issued at registration; and when a shopper uses the concierge, their messages and the products shown are processed and stored by the service — payment details are never involved, checkout runs on your own site. Deleting the plugin sends one deregistration request that stops the service from serving your shop.
