Pointics – AI-Powered Loyalty and Rewards Plugin

Description

Pointics is a complete loyalty points and rewards program for WordPress. It turns one-time buyers into repeat customers by rewarding the actions you care about (orders, signups, reviews, referrals) and letting people spend those points on real discounts at checkout.

One loyalty program, many kinds of business. Pointics works today with WooCommerce stores, Easy Digital Downloads shops, and restaurant ordering and food delivery sites. Event ticketing and LMS course platforms are next on the roadmap, so the program you set up now keeps working as your site grows.

Winning a new customer costs money. Keeping one costs points. Pointics gives your site a reward program that runs itself: rules decide who earns, the rewards catalogue decides what points buy, and your customers see their balance everywhere they shop.

No code. No monthly commission. No developer needed. Install, run the setup wizard, and your loyalty program is live in minutes.

With Pointics, you can :
– Award points automatically for orders, signups, reviews and more
– Let customers redeem points for discounts, free products and free shipping
– Run a refer-a-friend program with unique codes and fraud protection
– Build membership levels that reward your best customers with more points
– Show points balances on the product page, cart, checkout and My Account
– Send automatic emails when points are earned, redeemed or about to expire
– Track revenue, redemptions and top customers from one clean dashboard

Why Businesses Choose Pointics

Repeat customers, not one-time buyers
A points balance is a reason to come back. Every order a customer places grows a balance they can only spend with you, so the next purchase is already half-decided before they open your site.

Bigger orders, on purpose
Show people how many points the item in their cart will earn, and how close they are to their next reward. Customers spend more to reach the number.

Your customers do the marketing
Give every customer a referral link. When their friend signs up or buys, both sides get rewarded, and you get a new customer without paying for an ad.

Set it up once, it runs forever
Rules fire on their own. Emails send on their own. Points expire on their own. You get a loyalty program that works while you sleep.

Free features other plugins charge for
Referrals, membership levels, point expiration, automated emails, a floating rewards widget and a full customer panel are all in the free version, with no upgrade and no commission on your sales.

Who Is Pointics For?

Pointics is built for any WordPress business that wants customers to come back a second, third and tenth time.

🛍️ Online Stores: Fashion, Beauty & Lifestyle

Repeat purchases are your whole business model. Reward each order with points, let shoppers redeem them for a discount on the next drop, and use membership levels to make your best customers feel like insiders.

🍽️ Restaurants, Cafés & Food Delivery

The digital version of the punch card your regulars already understand. Award points on every food order, let customers redeem them for a discount or a free item, and turn a Friday-night order into a weekly habit. Works with restaurant ordering and food delivery setups built on WooCommerce, including WPCafe.

💻 Digital Products, Downloads & Licences

Full Easy Digital Downloads support. Reward purchases, account signups and subscription renewals, then let customers redeem points against their next download, plugin or licence renewal.

💊 Supplements, Skincare & Subscription Products

Perfect for products people rebuy on a cycle. Points earned on this month’s order become a discount on next month’s, and expiring points give a gentle nudge before the customer drifts to a competitor.

🛒 Grocery & Everyday Essentials

High frequency, thin margins, fierce competition. A visible points balance is often the only thing separating your store from the cheaper one, and it costs far less than discounting every order.

🧰 Niche & Hobby Stores

When your buyers are enthusiasts, loyalty is easy: they already love the category. Give them points, a level to climb and a referral link to share in their community.

🌍 Multi-Currency & International Businesses

Point values follow your site’s currency setup, so a loyalty program that makes sense in one market makes sense in all of them.

🎟️ Event Organisers (Coming Soon)

Reward attendees for booking tickets, bringing friends and coming back for the next event. Native ticketing support is on the roadmap.

🎓 Course Creators & LMS Sites (Coming Soon)

Reward students for enrolling, completing courses and referring classmates. LMS support is on the roadmap, so your loyalty program grows with your academy.

Pointics Free Features: A Complete Loyalty Program at Zero Cost

The free version is not a demo. It is a working reward program with earning rules, a rewards catalogue, referrals, membership levels, storefront widgets, automated emails and analytics, with no commission taken on any sale.

Earning Rules: Decide Who Gets Points

  • Points for Every Order. Award points automatically when an order is paid. Choose a percentage of the order value, a fixed amount per order, or an amount that scales with how much the customer spent.
  • Points for Signing Up. Reward new customers the moment they create an account or register at checkout. A balance on day one is the fastest way to a first repeat order.
  • Points for Product Reviews. Turn happy customers into social proof. Award points when a shopper writes a product review.
  • Points for Referrals. Reward customers when a friend they invited joins your site.
  • Refund-Safe by Design. Cancel or refund an order and the points are taken back automatically. Your balances never drift away from reality.
  • Rules That Only Fire When You Want. Add conditions like a minimum order amount, first-time customers only, a date window, or specific user roles. Set frequency limits so one rule can’t be farmed.
  • Manual Adjustments. Add or remove points for any customer by hand, with every change recorded. Perfect for goodwill gestures and support cases.

🎁 Rewards Catalogue: Decide What Points Buy

  • Points Conversion. The classic loyalty reward. Customers convert points into a checkout discount at the rate you set.
  • Fixed Discounts. Redeem a set number of points for a fixed amount off the order total.
  • Free Products. Let customers claim additional products from a curated list, free, alongside the order they are already placing.
  • Redeem at Checkout. Points are applied on the cart and checkout page. Classic checkout and the WooCommerce Checkout Block are both supported, so customers see the discount before they pay.
  • Safe Redemption. Points are held while an order is in progress and only spent once the order is paid. Cancelled orders return the points automatically, so nobody loses a balance to an abandoned checkout.

🤝 Referral Program: Let Customers Grow Your Business

  • Personal Referral Links & Codes. Every customer gets their own code and shareable link straight from their account panel.
  • Invite by Email. Customers can invite friends directly from your site, with sending limits built in to keep it clean.
  • Reward Both Sides. Pay the referrer, the friend, or both.
  • Built-In Fraud Controls. Self-referral detection, attribution windows, invite limits and expiring referrals stop the program from being gamed.
  • Referral Reporting. See how many invites turned into signups and orders, and which customers are actually bringing you business.

🏆 Membership Levels

  • Reward Your Best Customers. Group customers into levels based on the points they earn, and give higher levels a reason to stay there.
  • Automatic Promotion. Customers move up on their own as they earn. No spreadsheets, no manual sorting.
  • Visible Status. Customers see their current level in the storefront widget and account panel, which is exactly what makes them want the next one.

 Point Expiration

  • Keep the Program Healthy. Set points to expire after a number of days so unused balances don’t pile up as an open liability on your business.
  • Expiry Reminder Emails. Customers get a heads-up before points disappear. It is one of the highest-converting emails you can send.

📨 Automated Emails

  • Points Earned. Confirm the reward the moment it lands. Every email is a reminder your program exists.
  • Points Redeemed. Reassure customers their balance was spent correctly.
  • Points Expiring Soon. Bring drifting customers back before their balance is gone.
  • Level Changed. Celebrate customers when they reach a new membership level.

🛒 Storefront Widgets: Points Where Customers Shop

  • Product Page Earn Badge. “Earn 120 points with this purchase.” Shown right where the buying decision happens.
  • Cart & Checkout Points Panel. Customers see what they will earn and can redeem their balance without leaving checkout.
  • Floating Rewards Widget. A neat balance and level widget that follows the customer around your site.
  • Full Customer Panel. A dedicated Points & Rewards area inside My Account: balance, history, rewards, referrals and level, all in one place.
  • Show or Hide Anything. Every storefront surface has its own on/off switch, so the program shows up exactly where you want it and nowhere else.
  • Gutenberg Blocks & Shortcodes. Drop the points balance, the earn preview, or the full rewards panel anywhere with a block or a shortcode like [pointics_balance].

📊 Analytics & Customer Management

  • Loyalty Dashboard. Points issued, points redeemed, active members and program activity at a glance.
  • Top Customers. See exactly who your most loyal buyers are, and reward them accordingly.
  • Top Earning Rules. Find out which rules are actually driving behaviour, and which ones are just giving points away.
  • Redemption Breakdown. Understand what your customers are choosing to spend points on.
  • Customer & Transaction Records. Every point earned, spent, expired or adjusted is recorded and searchable.

🤖 AI Setup Assistant (Optional)

Not sure where to start? The optional AI assistant asks about your business and sets up your earning rules, rewards and levels for you. It is completely optional, disabled by default, and Pointics works fully without it.

🌍 Translation Ready

Fully translation-ready and compatible with WPML and Polylang. Translate your points label, emails, rewards and storefront text into any language. You can even rename “points” to “coins”, “stars” or anything that fits your brand.

🔌 Platforms Pointics Works With

  • WooCommerce. Full support, including the Cart and Checkout Blocks. Points on orders, reviews and checkout signups.
  • Easy Digital Downloads. Points and redemptions for digital stores, plus rewards on subscription renewals.
  • Restaurant Ordering & Food Delivery. Reward food orders placed through WooCommerce-based restaurant setups such as WPCafe.
  • Any WordPress Site. Reward account signups even without a shop attached.
  • Event Ticketing (Coming Soon). Loyalty for ticket buyers and event attendees.
  • LMS & Online Courses (Coming Soon). Loyalty for students, enrolments and course completions.

Pointics is built on an open, extendable core, so new platforms plug into the same points balance, the same rewards and the same customer panel your members already use. One program, one balance, no migration when you add the next platform.

🚀 Pointics PRO: For Businesses That Want More

Pointics Pro unlocks the advanced rewards, deeper targeting and full branding control that growing businesses need.

🎁 Advanced Reward Types

  • Percentage Discounts. Let customers redeem points for a percentage off the order total instead of a flat amount.
  • Free Product Rewards. Give away a specific product or menu item at checkout in exchange for points.
  • Free Shipping Rewards. One of the most persuasive rewards in ecommerce. Let points cover the shipping or delivery cost.

🎯 Advanced Targeting Rules

Fine-tune exactly who earns and how much, with conditions for:

  • Product Category. Push points toward the categories with the best margin.
  • Order Total. Reward bigger baskets with bigger returns.
  • First Order Only. Make the first purchase count for more.
  • Currency & Language. Run different reward economics per market.
  • Excluded User Roles. Keep wholesale accounts, staff or resellers out of the consumer program.

🏆 Unlimited Membership Levels

Build a full Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum ladder instead of a single starter level, and give higher levels a points multiplier so loyal customers earn faster the more they buy.

🤝 Purchase Referrals

Reward referrers not just when a friend signs up, but when that friend actually places their first qualifying order, with automatic claw-back on refunds.

🎨 White Label Branding

Remove the Pointics branding from the storefront widget and make the whole program look like it was built for your business.

📈 Full Analytics History

Look beyond the last 30 days. Compare months, review custom date ranges and see how your loyalty program performs over the long run.

🔁 Subscription Renewals

Award points automatically every time a subscription renews, so recurring revenue keeps building loyalty.

FAQ

Which platforms does Pointics work with?

Pointics works today with WooCommerce, Easy Digital Downloads, and restaurant ordering and food delivery sites built on WooCommerce (including WPCafe). It also runs on a plain WordPress site to reward account signups. Event ticketing and LMS course platforms are on the roadmap. Because every platform shares the same points balance and rewards catalogue, adding one later needs no migration.

Can I use Pointics for my restaurant or food delivery site?

Yes. Award points on every food order, let customers redeem them for a discount or a free menu item, and use membership levels to reward your regulars. It is the digital version of the loyalty card your customers already carry, with none of the paper.

Does Pointics support Easy Digital Downloads?

Yes, out of the box. Reward purchases, account signups and subscription renewals, and let customers redeem points against their next download or licence.

When will event and LMS support arrive?

Both are on the roadmap. Event ticketing and LMS support are being built on the same loyalty core, so when they land your existing points, rewards, levels and referrals keep working exactly as they are.

Do I need WooCommerce to use Pointics?

Not strictly. WooCommerce is where Pointics shines, since order points, checkout redemption and cart widgets all run through it, but Easy Digital Downloads is fully supported too, and you can run Pointics on a plain WordPress site to reward account signups.

Is the free version really usable, or is it a trial?

It is a complete loyalty program. Earning rules, a rewards catalogue, referrals, membership levels, point expiration, automated emails, storefront widgets and analytics are all included free. There is no time limit and Pointics never takes a commission on your sales.

How do customers redeem their points?

At checkout. Customers see their balance in the cart and checkout points panel, choose a reward, and the discount is applied to the order before they pay. Both the classic WooCommerce checkout and the newer Checkout Block are supported.

What happens to points if an order is refunded or cancelled?

They are taken back automatically. Points awarded for a refunded order are clawed back, and points held for a cancelled order are returned to the customer. You never have to reconcile balances by hand.

Can I rename “points” to something else?

Yes. Call them coins, stars, gems, miles or anything that fits your brand. The label updates everywhere customers see it.

Can I control where the loyalty widgets appear?

Yes. Every storefront surface (product page badge, cart panel, checkout panel, My Account balance, floating widget) has its own on/off switch. You can also place the balance, earn preview or full rewards panel anywhere using a Gutenberg block or a shortcode.

Do points expire?

Only if you want them to. Expiration is off by default. When you turn it on, you choose how long points last, and customers receive a reminder email before their balance disappears.

How does the referral program prevent abuse?

Pointics ships with self-referral detection, attribution windows, invite limits, invite suppression and expiring referrals. You stay in control of the minimum order value that qualifies and how long a referral stays valid.

Is the AI assistant required?

No. It is optional, disabled by default, and nothing is sent anywhere unless you explicitly turn it on. Every feature in Pointics can be configured by hand.

Will Pointics slow down my site?

No. Pointics is built to be lightweight and cache-friendly, so customer balances stay accurate without dragging down your page speed.

Does Pointics support multiple languages?

Yes. Pointics is fully translation-ready and compatible with WPML and Polylang, so your points label, emails, rewards and storefront text can be translated into any language.

Where do I report security bugs found in this plugin?

Please report security bugs found in the source code of the Pointics plugin through the Patchstack Vulnerability Disclosure Program. The Patchstack team will assist you with verification, CVE assignment, and notify the developers of this plugin.

Where can I find documentation and get support?
