• So I have example.com as main domain with example.net (via host) pointing to same directory. I than created a new site and than edited it to change the URL (test.example.com) to example.net. After about maybe five minutes the URL began to working.

So how can I install SSL? I know SSL is installed for the main domain and trying to use free SSL via cPanel doesn’t give an error, but also does nothing; example.net still shown as unsecured. I’d imagine this is due to their already being an SSL certificate associated with that directory.

Is there anything I can do (minus WordPress plugins; tried a few didn’t work anyway)?

You must store SSL certificates in your hosting. WordPress is not used to manage these hosting tasks. Therefore, please contact the support of your hoster. They should provide you with the SSL certificates for your domains.

I never asked or implied if there was a way to control them from wordpress.

You are in a forum where questions about WordPress are answered by users for users. Here we can help each other with questions about WordPress. See: https://wordpress.org/support/guidelines/

Your question does not refer to WordPress but to a configuration that is necessary in your hosting. Hence my comment on this.

What has your hoster’s support answered in the meantime?
