| Feb 26, 2020 at 9:21 | comment | added | Alnitak | @Mars you're assuming that the OP's skills merit recognition ;-) | |
| Feb 26, 2020 at 7:31 | comment | added | Mars | @Jungkook Okay, so I'd be concerned that no companies have officially recognized it | |
| Feb 26, 2020 at 7:15 | comment | added | J_rite | @Mars the companies could have recognized it, but he left them before they decided to act on it. Or they may have found out that he is going to interviews when he's only working there for a month. | |
| Feb 25, 2020 at 3:25 | comment | added | Mars | If looking at a senior engineer, i'd be concerned that not a single company has recognized OP's skills... OP also needs a much better explanation for the lateral jump than "they didn't give raises that year." All red flags that OP's skills don't match their position | |

| Feb 24, 2020 at 20:58 | comment | added | jackwise | @TheBatman It is extremely important to note progress within a company on your resume, otherwise you imply you've held a Developer 3 position for a very long time instead of progressing from Dev 2 to Dev 3. | |
| Feb 24, 2020 at 20:40 | comment | added | TheBatman | Is it really going to be noticed? Do people really put every position they've ever held at a company on their resume, or just their current role? I don't see the value in adding that you were a Developer 2 at a company if you are currently a Developer 3, for example. It would be redundant, having the promoted position implies that you have all the skills of the previously held position, provided they are on the same tract. | |
| Feb 24, 2020 at 17:54 | comment | added | Richard Rast | I would just like to emphasize what has been buried a bit in this answer -- it seems unlikely that people would notice you're not being promoted, but it's quite likely that you will be labeled a job hopper, and many companies will not bother interviewing you for that reason. | |
