I would be looking for further evidence of programming, as a hobby, or in your final year project. One of my major thesis projects was to take a single threaded C implementation of a MJPEG decoder and refactoring it to make it modular. I then reimplemented the modular C implementation in OpenCL to run it on a GPU.
Feb 10, 2022 at 20:14 comment added Michael Shaw When I am recruiting a software developer, the technical skill that I am most focused on assessing is the ability to design, implement and debug code in the programming language that we use on the project. A CS degree covers a wider range of topics, with less focus on actually cutting code.
