$\begingroup$ No, don't optimise to "defeat the chainmail", that lowers it's resale value after you obviously win. Chainmail is near worthless against bludgeoning damage anyway so just crush their ribcage / arms / legs. You still absolutely win, but now you can loot a fully intact, maybe even clean chaimnail shirt $\endgroup$
