Neoclassical Plaster Urn Table Lamp Greek Figural Statue Reliefs 20th Century
Located in Lambertville, NJ
An exceptional pair of mid-to-late 20th-century Neoclassical style table lamps, masterfully crafted after the famous antiquity known as the Townley Vase. These striking statement lamps feature covered campana-form urns adorned with high-relief Greek and Roman mythological figures capturing a lively Bacchanalian festival. Each urn is flanked by elegant scrolled architectural loop handles and capped with a fluted lid, resting atop an integrated, beautifully textured diamond-quilted (waffle-patterned) square plinth pedestal base. Rendered in a crisp matte white plaster bisque or finish, this pair perfectly balances grand Classical Revival scale with clean, minimalist texture.
