Danish Banana Sofa in Light Blue Upholstery and Oak

About the Item

Banana sofa, fabric, wood, Denmark, 1950s. This elegant 1950s Danish banana sofa is a striking example of mid-century Scandinavian design. Its distinctive curved silhouette gives the sofa its characteristic “banana” shape, while the softly rounded arms and high, enveloping back create a sense of comfort and intimacy. The backrest is beautifully divided into vertical upholstered sections, emphasizing the sweeping curve of the frame and adding a refined decorative rhythm. Raised on slender tapered wooden legs, the substantial upholstered body retains a light and graceful appearance.
