Established & Sons BLOC Small Side Table by Pauline Deltour

About the Item

Treating colour as a material, Bloc side tables are based on the idea of recreating a hand-drawn cube, using different tones and shades to suggest an optical illusion. Hidden in the plywood structure is a drawer with a soft-open mechanism, disguised by the block colours of the outer surfaces. Available in three sizes, the design is highly versatile and can add playfulness and a compact graphic character to a wide range of interior environments, from the home to the office. The BLOC coffee tables are colourful plywood boxes in contrasting high-pressure laminate finishes. They come with black dowel feet as standard and can be paired with castor wheels (optional) and a storage soft-open drawer (optional). “Colours often come way too late in the development of a design,” said Deltour. “For once I wanted to invert the process.” Design: 2020 Description: Table and Storage Dimensions: Small: L640 × D450 × H290 Square: L850 × D850 × H290 Long: L1200 × D450 × H290 Materials: Birch plywood, high-pressure laminate, soft-close drawer slides, black stained oak (legs), stainless steel ball-bearing and nylon castors (option) Colour Combinations: Bright red , burgundy, clay Bottle green, pine green, signal green Grey, burnt orange, pale grey Zinc yellow, signal yellow, pale grey
