I was excited to try these relishes. Unfortunately, when they arrived the jar of Mango Pickle relish was broken, so I had to throw that one out. The Lime Pickle relish was surprisingly good. It has a thick chunky consistency and strong tart taste. I made the Lime pickle and yogurt dip recipe that is displayed on the jar label. I mixed in two tablespoons of the relish with a cup of plain Greek yogurt. I blended it together in a small food processor and there were still chunks in the finished dip, which I like. It tastes amazing when dipping cucumber slices. It's got a strong taste, so even cutting down to 1-1.5 Tablespoons might be fine too. If you like pickles, I would definitely give this a try. I don't actually think it's spicy, but I'm used to spicy foods. This relish is versatile and can be used in many ways. It's a decent value for the price since you're getting two jars and if you use a little at a time in recipes, it will last a while.

    So I just discovered this stuff on a recent cruise. I literally thought it was made with pickles. After doing some research, I realized it was basically pickled mangoes so I started searching for a different brands and places where I might be able to get it. I tried this one and it tasted exactly like it did on the cruise. It is so good! I just wish it had less sodium per tablespoon. 😭

    Mango pickles are not for the faint of heart. They have a strong flavor that will knock your socks off if you aren't ready for it, and be forewarned, you take just a little (like the size of a fingernail clipping) and mix it with a bite of one of your indian dishes, then adjust more as necessary. I tend to eat about a heaping tablespoon of this with an Indian meal, and really love it. I've tried a number of other mango pickles, but as the clerk in our Indian food store said, "Good choice, this is the best one." Be brave, learn to love mango pickles!

    I first tried these pickles many years ago when I was in college. There is a grocery store near to me where I can buy these but during these times it was nice to be able to order these from the comfort and safety of my living room. I like to mix the pickles in with some plain yogurt that I then put on crackers. The pickles are also great mixed in with some cottage cheese. I love Indian cuisine and these pickles give me a little taste of what I love.
