Android Police attends dozens of live events every year where we meet with industry peers and company executives. Below are a few examples of those events and some of the coverage that has come out of them.

Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2026

Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2025
Android Police made its way to Brooklyn for Samsung's Galaxy Unpacked event this July, where we got the chance to see the latest additions to its foldables lineup, as well as two near wearables. Samsung execs took the stage to announce three new foldable phones — the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, and the Z Flip 7 FE — along with the new Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 and Galaxy Watch 8 Classic. The presentation also revealed a new "Ultra" model for their flagship line, which will represent a new top tier for its devices.
Google Chromebook Showcase
Android Police made its way to New York in June for a preview of the next generation of Chromebooks. Google execs were on hand to announce the new Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5i Chromebook Plus, as well as a bevy of new features slated for release to Chromebook Plus owners. Google’s newest AI-enhanced features were front and center, with the company showing off a new "Help me write" tool for generating and refining text, generative AI backgrounds for video calls, and the Magic Eraser tool in Google Photos. There were also a handful of more practical updates like File Sync, which makes Google Drive files available offline automatically.
Google I/O 2025
AP's Taylor Kerns attended I/O 2025 and had the opportunity to see the Google's latest AI-powered innovations. While Android XR — the operating system that will power upcoming helmets and smart glasses — took center stage, updates to nearly all of its AI products were shown off as well. Google’s message was clear: AI will pave the way for products that are smarter, more immersive, and more accessible to everyone.
Motorola Razr Ultra 2025
AP's mobile editor Will Sattelberg was front and center for Motorola's New York City Razr Ultra announcement. In addition to its stunning new foldable, the company also announced the Moto Watch Fit as well as its new Bose-tuned Moto Buds Loop.
MWC 2025
Mobile World Congress is the world’s biggest mobile phone show, and it takes place every year in Barcelona, Spain. Android Police's Editor-in-Chief James Peckham attended the event in 2025. It saw him test out new smartphones from some of the world’s biggest manufacturers and get a glimpse at some of the most exciting trends expected across the smartphone industry in 2025.
Samsung Unpacked 2025
Samsung Unpacked is where the world's biggest phone maker announces its new series of devices. In the first 2025 edition of the show, we saw the Samsung Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus, and Galaxy S25 Ultra revealed. There was also a teaser for an upcoming product called the Galaxy S25 Edge. Android Police's Phones Editor Will Sattelberg attended the launch live in San Jose, California, where he was among the first to try out the new products.
CES 2025
Two members of the Android Police team attended CES 2025, which is the world’s biggest consumer electronics show. The yearly event is hosted in Las Vegas and it’s our first opportunity of the year to see new gadgets. Google Editor, Taylor Kerns, and Phones Editor, Will Sattelberg, went to the show to try out new smartphones, TVs, tablets, wearables, headphones and a selection of weird and wonderful gadgets.
Qualcomm Snapdragon Summit 2024
Our Phones Editor, Will Sattelberg, attended Qualcomm's Snapdragon Summit 2024 in Hawaii. This is the event for the biggest chipset release in the Android calendar where Qualcomm revealed the new Snapdragon 8 Elite that we expect to see on phones throughout 2025 and beyond. Qualcomm also revealed other new products in the world of mobile, computing, and more.
IFA 2024
Our Managing Reviews Editor, Dominic Preston, attended IFA 2024 for Android Police. This is the largest consumer technology show in Europe and it's hosted in Berlin each year. We saw the reveal of new phones like the Honor Magic V3 and HMD Fusion. It's not all about phones though as we saw new smartwatches, gaming handhelds, smart home tech, and more throughout the show.
Made By Google 2024
Our Google Editor, Taylor Kerns, and Phones Editor, Will Sattelberg, attended Made By Google 2024 in Mountain View, California. The event was where Google revealed its next range of flagship smartphones including the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, and Pixel 9 Pro Fold. We also heard the first word about the Pixel Watch 3 and the Pixel Buds Pro 2 alongside new software reveals such as new Gemini AI products.
Google I/O 2024
Our Phones Editor, Will Sattelberg, and Google Editor, Taylor Kerns, attended Google I/O 2024 in Mountain View, California. The event is famous for being the biggest launch of Google's calendar where we saw the introduction of Android 15 and more news about the company's Gemini AI platform. This year, Google introduced a lot of new AI tech that we'll be seeing in the company's apps and services.
