Celebrate the Ethiopian New Year With Us

Join us as we celebrate the Ethiopian New Year with an unforgettable evening of coffee, food, culture, and community.

Thursday, September 10th, at Diamond Steet

The evening begins with an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of our coffee roastery, led by one of Coffee By Design’s professional roasters. Learn why Ethiopia is celebrated as the birthplace of Arabica coffee, hear stories from our travels to coffee origin, and enjoy a guided tasting of three exceptional Ethiopian coffees, each showcasing the distinctive character of each coffee.

Following the coffee experience, gather around family-style tables for a traditional Ethiopian dinner prepared by Ethiopian Chef Aklilu of Niyat Catering. Enjoy Doro Wat served with freshly baked injera while Chef Aklilu shares the stories behind the dishes, the ingredients, and the customs that make the Ethiopian New Year such a meaningful celebration.

  • 6:30–7:00 p.m. – Guided Tasting of Three Ethiopian Coffees
