  • Preston is the lead editor of Cuteness's news and features departments.
  • He is a proud cat dad to an orange cat named Helios that he's had since he was born in 2017 and an older gray-and-white cat named Misty Day (named after Lily Rabe in "American Horror Story") that he's had since 2018.
  • Preston has always been around pets, from growing up with dogs to raising twin cats named Anna and Elsa (yes, named after "Frozen"). He eventually wants to befriend a bearded dragon.

Experience

Preston has worked at Static Media in varying capacities since 2021, when he began freelance writing for The List. Since then, he has become an editor and has worked for other Static Media websites, including Mashed. Eventually, he became the senior lead editor of Glam in the summer of 2022, and now he's bringing his experience to Cuteness to help continue the site's upward trajectory. Glam and Cuteness might have very different content, but Preston enjoys a challenge — and leading both sites keeps the workday anything but boring.

Education

Preston has earned a bachelor's and master's degree in English literature and a professional and technical writing certificate. During both degrees, he took courses to combine his three loves: journalism, poetry, and fairy tales. Everything he learned about language and communication helped him become not only a stronger writer and editor but also a better team player and leader. Preston's M.A. thesis on gender and sexuality intersectionality in modern fairy tales earned his department's Academic Achievement in Literature award.
