Inertial navigation for surface operations
Quadrans, Octans 9, Hydrins, Phins
Exail offers a complete range of Fiber-Optic Gyroscope (FOG)-based Attitude and Heading Reference Systems (AHRS) and Inertial Navigation Systems (INS) dedicated to maritime surface applications.

Unmatched performance for challenging long-term GNSS denied environments
Highly reliable and performant, Exail systems provide extremely robust navigation information in environments that experience long-term GNSS outages. For many years now, they’ve been the preferred surface navigation systems for major operations in the challenging offshore and hydrographic industries.

Scalable performance thanks to FOG technology
Exail leads in inertial navigation technology by controlling its entire value chain. We design and manufacture all components in-house, from FOG gyroscopes to accelerometers, electronics, software, and algorithms. This vertical integration allows us to optimize performance and tailor our navigation systems to meet diverse requirements by adjusting the coil dimensions of our fiber optic gyroscopes.

UNRIVALED RELIABILITY

Powering easy operations
Easy to integrate
Exail AHRS and INS feature multiple output ports and protocol management for easy interfacing via serial or Ethernet, with compatibility for third-party sensors like DVL, EM log, GNSS, and custom protocols.
All-in-one devices
All our AHRS/INS are all-in-one devices, which means that they can be used in the same time well as for the IMO navigation, but also as an Motion Reference Unit, or for dynamic platform positioning.
ITAR-free for worldwide operations
Exail AHRS and INS do not include any component subjected to the ITAR regulation. They are ITAR-free solutions that can be shipped and used on any of your global surface applications.
A user-friendly interface
All Exail inertial devices are based on a web interface to be easy to operate and makes it user friendly. This web MMI has the same look and feel for all Exail products which simplifies the handling by the user.
INCREASED PERFORMANCE through aiding sensors
Exail AHRS and INS systems offer high autonomy with minimal drift, depending on specifications. Their performance is further enhanced by advanced embedded algorithms that leverage data from aiding sensors (DVL, EM log, GPS, USBL, LBL, and depth sensors) to boost accuracy and reject incoherent inputs, ensuring robust navigation.
