Questions & Replies
- How thick does the pork chop have to be for frying this?!?! I don't want to saturate the pan with oil because I will want to try and save the drippings for the gravy; however, I am kind of weary/skeptical of how much oil I need to use..? Thanks if you can help.
Reviews
- So, I started making this recipe and thought, Hmmm... Morelle mushrooms are growing currently, though in smaller quantities that I like...but with the help of my nephew and his daughter, I was able to come up with a pound of GREAT Morells. I cooked them at the end when the sauce was thicker. I added thyme and rosemary chopped at near the end of cooking but after seasoning the mushrooks with it. I also added an ounce of heavy cream off the flame to make the sauce luscious. The family loved it and I will keep it in my repertoire of flavorful dishes for my non meat eating significant other.
- Sauce is delicious. I added sliced mushrooms to the onions. Also, I used pork tenderloin sliced lengthwise to the size I wanted as this cut of pork is more tender than chops. Sandy Andrew
- Always, ALWAYS follow your...................stomach.
- What do you do with pork chops? Try this recipe! Easy, tender and delish chops. I added chipotle chili pepper gave a smokey taste. The base is here for many different tastes. Going to try bell pepper or peas. Thanks Sandy for a very practical recipe.
- yum, need to double the gravy though. we wanted more for our potatoes. very easy.
