Gregory Don Robinett, loving husband and father, passed away at the age of 77, on April 8, 2026 in Los Angeles County, California.
Greg grew up in a family of 10 in Port Hueneme, California. He loved surfing, excelled at school graduating from Hueneme High School in 1966. In summer of 1967 he backpacked and worked his way through Europe for three months enjoying the world. Greg enlisted in the Marines in 1968, and completed training at Camp Pendleton in San Diego, California, winning the honorable prize among his fellow Marines as the one who gained the most, 40lbs, which changed him from a skinny surfer to a solid Marine.
After his service in the Marines, he used his GI Bill Benefits to attend UCLA and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Design in 1975. He had many mechanical/structural designer positions in the aerospace industry at Northrop Electronics, Boeing, General Dynamics, Hughes Aircraft, Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems, Xerox, Douglas Aircraft, Z Engineering, UTC-Rocketdyne and Senior Flexonics. Throughout his life Greg always made time to continue with his love of surfing.
While working in the aerospace industry he met & dated his future wife, Brenda, in 1982 and again in 2007. Brenda and Greg married in 2017 and eventually moved to Camarillo, California.
Besides surfing, Greg enjoyed long rides on his Harley Davidson. Solo rides along Pacific Coast Highway down to Malibu, joining up with fellow Harley riders to interesting locations & areas. Many weekends a long time friend would knock on his front door and say: "Suit up, follow me cause we're going on a ride." Greg never asked where, he just knew he was in store for a truly amazing ride that day he would thoroughly enjoy.
Greg was preceded in death by his loving parents Donald Clarence Robinett, Eunice Mary Hegna Robinett and his brother Jeffery Charles Robinett.
He is survived by his wife Brenda, daughters Robin and Tegan Robinett, granddaughters Ashley, Chloe and Mena Niknafs.
