In 2009, we brought together entrepreneurs, technology leaders and investors for our first-ever Technology Innovation Summit, with the goal of building partnerships and accelerating innovation. As we prepare to host our 15th Summit – bringing together more than 500 tech companies, founders and investors to discuss how technology is transforming the economy – we're taking a look back at where it all started. #BofATech https://lnkd.in/ebdc3U5r

Meet Chris, a fundraising athlete running the Bank of America #ChicagoMarathon for the Alzheimer's Association®, a cause close to his heart. When Chris was diagnosed with Stargardt’s disease as a child, a rare genetic eye condition that gradually takes away central vision, his mom, Maria, helped him navigate a future that suddenly looked different. As a pediatrician with her own practice, caring for others was part of Maria’s identity. She supported Chris by encouraging his independence and teaching him that his eyesight didn’t define his ability. Now, 10 years into Maria’s Alzheimer’s diagnosis, Chris is returning that same support back to her. He’s running for Maria and others impacted by Alzheimer's. Support Chris's cause. We’re investing in the next generation of talent - hiring 1,000 apprentices over the next two years and committing $150 million to workforce development organizations over the next five years. This builds on our longstanding focus on skills-based hiring in local communities, career mobility and expanding access to long-term careers - including those that do not require a bachelor’s degree. Together, our news will help expand access to opportunity, strengthen local economies and drive workforce growth across the United States. https://lnkd.in/gudjRS4Q
