Where humans and AI agents work together. Projects, tasks and chat in one connected workplace.

About us

BasicOps is where humans and AI agents work together. Projects, tasks and chat live in one connected workplace, so your team and your agents plan, collaborate and get work done in the same place. Why it works: the conversation is attached to the task, not sitting in a separate chat app. An agent picks up the work with the same context a person has. No re-explaining the project on every prompt, and no copying answers out of a chat window. Agents as team members: give an agent a role, skills and scoped permissions. Assign it tasks, @mention it in a thread, and it answers there. Permissions come from the same roles that govern people, and every action is visible, recorded and reviewable, so a person stays in control. Bring the agents you already have: connect agents built on OpenClaw, Guild, Claude, Gumloop or your own stack over MCP with one click OAuth. Nothing to rebuild. A full work platform underneath: list, table, board, calendar and timeline views. Subtasks and dependencies. Chat, channels and group chats. Custom forms and fields, automations, time tracking, unlimited templates, notes, file storage and client access. Mac, iOS and Android apps alongside the web. Founded by the team behind Jobvite, BasicOps started from a simple problem: no single place where the work and the conversation about it lived together. Free 14 day trial on any plan, no credit card.

  • You do not have to rebuild your agent to put it to work in BasicOps. Build it in Guild.ai, connect it over MCP with one-click OAuth, and it shows up as an Agent User: a name, a role, its own task queue, and permissions inherited from the same roles your team members have. @mention it in a project thread and it answers there, with the project already in front of it. Nothing gets ported, wrapped or rewritten. The same connection works with Claude, Gumloop, OpenClaw, or anything else that speaks MCP. Keep the builder you already use. Give the agent somewhere to work. BasicOps is the workplace where humans and agents work together, and where communication lives directly inside tasks and projects. • BasicOps is the workplace where humans and agents work together. We set up an agent as a project manager, right where our projects, tasks and team conversations already live. Here is what it does for us: It posts the stand-up every weekday morning. It flags tasks that are slipping and asks the assignee about them directly. It turns messages into drafted tasks, and a person reviews each one before it lands. And it reports back in the project thread, next to the rest of the team, not in a separate chat someone has to remember to check. The part we like most: the agent works next to your team members, not off in its own corner. The conversation lives inside the tasks and projects, so nothing gets lost. You assign the role, the skills and the scoped permissions yourself. The Agent Users page shows example roles like Project Manager and Support Manager so you can picture it, but you build your own agent to fit how your team actually works. The stand-up schedule and the slipping-task rules above are how we configured ours. You write your own. Agent Users are free during the beta. • There needs to be a better way to work with AI. Right now most of us talk to our agents in the Claude or ChatGPT app, copy the answer, and paste it into a project tool or a doc. The agent never sees the project, or the thread that started the work. That wastes time pasting from one app to the next, and the agent never gets the full picture. That is what pushed us to fix it. BasicOps is where our projects, tasks and team conversations already live, so we gave an agent an actual seat in it. A name, a role, and its own assigned tasks. That changed how the work felt. The agent stopped being a tool we queried off to the side and started behaving like a team member, because it had the context and could answer in the project thread where the question was asked. • You can now connect BasicOps Agent Users to agents in Guild.ai without ever leaving BasicOps. Guild.ai just shipped their API, which made it possible for us to build a one-click integration. Here's how it works: BasicOps creates the agent in your own Guild.ai account, connects it back, and adds it to your team as an Agent User. It usually takes under a minute. The only thing you do in Guild.ai is create an API key. When setup finishes, open a chat with the agent and ask it anything. It will respond immediately. Add it to a project and it can own assigned tasks and answer when someone @mentions it in a task discussion or channel right where the work is. Agents that work as part of your team. Available on every BasicOps plan. BasicOps is where humans and AI agents work together. Set it up yourself here: https://lnkd.in/eJpp7Wgi #AIagents #FutureOfWork #ProjectManagement

  • 🚀 BasicOps August update: Agent Users just got bigger. Claude and Guild.ai now join Gumloop and OpenClaw as AI teammates you can bring straight into your workspace — mention them, assign them tasks, and loop them into projects just like any other team member. Also new: 🎥 Zoom meeting summaries now land automatically in your Notes, with action items one click from becoming tasks. ⚙️ A new Default Client Access setting lets you control who sees new discussions and files by default. Your meeting just ended. Granola captured the notes. Now comes the part no one likes: digging through those notes to figure out who's doing what. We just made that step disappear. With Granola connected to BasicOps, every action item in your post-meeting notes becomes a task in 1 click. ✅ Meeting wraps → notes are ready → one click → it's a task with an owner, sitting in your workflow. The gap between "we talked about it" and "it's actually getting done" is where most teams miss details. Don't fall into the same trap. 🚀 If your team lives in meetings, connect Granola to BasicOps and turn conversations into action. • Great to see this from the Guild.ai team. This is the idea we care about most: agents are team members, not tools stuck in a side window. In BasicOps, an agent gets a name, a role, and a real seat, and works right alongside your people, with a person in control. The agents come from any builder, and Guild.ai makes it super easy to add your agent to BasicOps Read the full story below.

AI transformation is the new north star for enterprise teams. But what does that really mean? And more importantly... how do you do it? For BasicOps CRO Justin Oberbauer, the answer was obvious: "Agent Users." One day while he was experimenting with OpenClaw, Justin realized how difficult it was to juggle multiple agents inside a single chat window. Conversations blurred together. Context got lost. That's when Justin made the switch to Guild. Using Guild's neutral agent operating system, Justin ditched the chat window and gave his agent a seat in BasicOps instead—complete with its own Gmail account and permissions. The results were immediate. The agent was assigned tasks, gave updates, drafted documents, saved assets to Drive, and linked it all back to the relevant tasks. It wasn't just dressed up like a team member... it was behaving like one. That first experiment quickly grew from a handful of Agent Users for a single CRO into a core product concept for BasicOps customers. Justin may not have been a developer by trade, but he understood the problems he needed to solve. And with Guild, that was more than enough. As he put it, "[with Guild] you don't have to be a developer. You just have to know what you want..." Check out the full story below to learn more about Agent Users, how they work, and how Justin's team is experiencing real AI transformation with Guild.

  • What if your AI agents worked like the rest of your team, instead of living in a side chat window? Our CRO, Justin Oberbauer, started tinkering with agents and hit the wall anyone running a few of them knows: juggling agents in one long chat gets messy fast. So he tried something simple. He gave an agent its own seat in BasicOps, with a name and a role, and let it pick up tasks like any team member. It drafted documents, saved them to Drive, and linked them back to the work. That experiment became a core idea for BasicOps: agents are team members, not tools or widgets with one defined outcome. Each one gets a name, a role, and a real seat, and works where the team already works, with a person in control. BasicOps stays builder-neutral. We are the shared workplace where humans and agents work together, and the agents come from platforms like Guild, which made setup the easiest of any we tried. Thanks to the Guild.ai team for the writeup on how it came together. Read it here: https://lnkd.in/gYPAidBi Curious what agents on your team could look like?
