Hudson’s Detroit has been named CoreNet Global Michigan Chapter’s Commercial Real Estate Project of the Year — recognized for transforming one of Detroit’s most historic sites into a new civic anchor driving density, connectivity and economic vitality in the heart of downtown.   This recognition would not be possible without the collaboration of the hundreds of partners who helped bring this ground-up development to life. Volunteering at Bedrock is an important part of our team member experience, especially when it means showing up for the communities we support.   Last week, our team had the opportunity to volunteer alongside Motor City Makeover, helping distribute flowers and plants to local block clubs as part of a month-long beautification program. These efforts support neighborhood groups directly by providing resources that help brighten shared spaces and strengthen community pride at the block level. 🌱   Through the City of Detroit Department of Neighborhoods (DON)' efforts, thousands of volunteers come together each May to support cleanup projects, plantings and neighborhood improvements across Detroit’s parks, playgrounds, business corridors and block clubs.   Spending time at Motor City Makeover was a reminder of how impactful consistent, hands-on community work can be, and how much momentum it builds when people show up with purpose.

A snapshot of Bedrock’s retail landscape shows real momentum taking shape in both Detroit and Cleveland. Rising foot traffic and a dynamic tenant mix are helping to build the foundation for what’s ahead.   This week at ICSC Las Vegas, the Bedrock Leasing team is carrying that energy forward, connecting with partners and working to turn that momentum into lasting retail growth across both markets.

The Bedrock team is headed to ICSC Las Vegas next week.   Downtown Detroit and Cleveland continue to draw exciting retail momentum, with nationally recognized brands and emerging concepts choosing to invest in the city’s future.
