And Munich now has a BioLabs. Another site in our global network, on the same model as everywhere else: fully equipped labs, shared equipment and industry expertise, available to a founder from day one. The ribbon came down on Monday. Our founder and CEO Johannes Fruehauf opened. Philipp Gerbert, CEO of TUM Venture Labs, set out how TUM Venture Labs backs founders across technology verticals, and now, with us, in biotech. Judith Gerlach, Member of the Bundesrat, told the room that Bavaria's startup scene is "Chefsache". Floris Engelhardt, founder of Kano Therapeutics and one of our residents, described running a company on two continents through BioLabs | TUM and LabCentral. Our Munich site director Max Pöhlmann opened the doors. Tours through the afternoon. Dr. Dr. Radhika Patnala's science art in the lobby. The building was the visible part. The work it exists for starts quietly, at a bench, and takes years. None of this happens without our partners. Thank you to Thermo Fisher Scientific, Eppendorf, MilliporeSigma, PROTEROS biostructures GmbH, Elemental Machines, Corning Life Sciences, Sartorius, Promega Corporation, New England Biolabs, Nikon and AbbVie for making this site possible. 🙏 Thank you to our speakers, to TUM Venture Labs, and to everyone who came. We look forward to the science and the partnerships that will grow from here. Johannes Fruehauf Johanna Michielin Max Pöhlmann Ornella Mehlhorn

170 people from science, business, politics and the startup scene came to Forum Wissen in Göttingen last Friday for the launch of Startup Factory GOe FUTURE. If you haven't come across it yet: GOᵉ FUTURE is one of only ten Startup Factories in Germany, picked by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy and EXIST to turn research into companies. And a good look at how fast the life science scene around Göttingen, Hannover and Braunschweig is moving right now. What struck us was how clearly they've thought it through. Five programs, GOᵉ2LIFE, GOᵉ2IMPACT, GOᵉ2CONNECT, GOᵉ2SCALE and GOᵉ2CAPITAL, one for every step a researcher takes from a first idea to raising capital. Anyone who's watched a founder get stuck between those steps knows how rarely someone builds for all of them. And the room matched it. Federal and state government, founders, academics and industry, all in the same conversation about the same future. Congratulations to the whole GOᵉ FUTURE team. Thank you for having us. "Great collaborations don’t happen by accident, they’re built together. In this episode of b.empowered, recorded live at BIO 2026 in San Diego last June, our CEO and Founder, Johannes Fruehauf, sat down with Tiffani Manolis, Vice President and General Manager, Cell Biology at Thermo Fisher Scientific, to discuss what it takes to move advanced therapies innovation forward. Together, they explored BioLabs for Advanced Therapeutics Philadelphia, a joint initiative with Thermofisher Scientific, sharing the vision behind the site, what that collaboration looks like in practice, and their outlook on the future of advanced therapies. If you’re building — or supporting — the next generation of cell and gene therapy companies, this conversation is for you. 🔗 Watch the full episode here: https://lnkd.in/g6kHZx5h Give it a watch and let us know what you think 👇"
