  • We started our 19th anniversary with breakfast and a chance to take a moment to appreciate the people behind Blue Compass. Through all the changes in our industry, we’ve continued to grow because of the people we work with every day; people who care about doing good work, support each other, and genuinely want to see their teammates succeed. Nineteen years is something to be proud of, and we’re excited to keep evolving with the industry and with each other.

  • For 19 years, Cary has encouraged Blue Compass to keep questioning what’s possible. As CIO and co-founder, he brings an innovative mindset to the business with a genuine investment in both our work and the people who make Blue Compass what it is. • Planning next year's strategy shouldn't look like a list of tactics. Before deciding what to do more of, consider taking a step back to understand what's working, where your competitors are ahead of you, what gaps exist that are keeping you from reaching your audience, and where a focused investment could have the biggest impact. Digital Discovery is a process that helps marketing teams uncover actionable insights that allow them to see where they are today and where their biggest opportunities lie. With a clearer picture of their starting point, marketers are able to craft marketing strategies that feel focused rather than hopeful. https://lnkd.in/gQFe3jgk

  • As Google evolves, so do SEO strategies. 15 years ago, Google was simply a directory, and matching your content to the query was the tactic. 10 years ago, Google was a smart list with visual elements like its "Knowledge Panel" and "People Also Ask." The best SEO strategy was to have the best page on your topic. 5 years ago, Google became more of a destination with "Featured Snippets" that shortened the searcher's journey. Digital marketers' goal was to win a module on the results page. Today, Google is becoming a conversation with its AI Mode features. The best SEO tactic in this new era is to be the SOURCE. The best websites feature authentic, personal content from experts that doesn't exist elsewhere. So many changes over the years! Google has improved in many ways but has also frustrated marketers and searchers with many of its decisions. Do you like the direction Google is headed?

  • If a new website is part of your 2027 plans, now is the time to start thinking about it. A website redesign involves a lot more than choosing a new look. You’ll need to think through your content, navigation, SEO, photography, functionality, messaging and what your customers actually need from your website. And that planning takes time. Starting now gives your team time to identify what isn’t working, determine what the new website needs to accomplish and build the right budget for next year. We’ve helped a lot of marketing teams through this process, and one thing we’ve learned is that the best website projects start with good planning. Thinking about a new website in 2027? We’d love to help you get a head start. Reach out to our team at Blue Compass and we’ll send you our free website planning and budgeting guide. https://lnkd.in/gB7zhJHx
