On this #EarthDay2026 we are especially proud to share the big benchmarks and progress #TeamBraga accomplished with our organic Regenerative trials in the Salinas Valley in the last year: 1) Become certified Regenerative for 73 organic acres (thank you A Greener World ) 2) Commercially farm and bring to market organic regenerative fresh veg items 3) In partnership with California Marine Sanctuary Foundation finished a 3-year Healthy Soils Study with California Department of Food and Agriculture grant funds. With the CMSF team and using Agrology, a Public Benefit Corporation soil sensors, we were able to capture and validate measurable improvements in soil health when comparing regenerative vs traditional farming practices. We are equally committed to continue sharing and learning with our farming peers to help scale the possible impact across the Salinas Valley region and offering more Regen products in the produce department! #AgInnovation #RegeneativeAgriculture #SoilHealth #SustainableFarming #SalinasValley #EarthMonth
About us
In 1928, Sebastian and Josie Braga started farming California’s fertile soil on what is now known as the Braga Home Ranch in Soledad, Calif. Today, the third generation continues the family values of sustainable-organic farming. Braga Ranch sets aside 10% of farmland to beneficial habitat and has the goal of being carbon neutral through its regenerative Carbon Capture Farming program. Vertically integrated, Braga Ranch combines innovation with tradition to grow and harvest fresh vegetables and leafy greens .

Braga Fresh, home of Josie’s Organics, announced a portion of its regenerative farming acreage has earned official certification for its regenerative farming program from A Greener World a respected nonprofit certifier of sustainable agricultural practices. The certification marks a major milestone in Braga Fresh’s fifth year of #CarbonCaptureFarming and now up to 100 organic acres of regenerative farming on the Braga Home Ranch in the Salinas Valley. The A Greener World AGW certification applies only to a 60.5 acre block on the Braga home ranch, currently growing organic romaine hearts and sweet baby broccoli in the Josies Organic brand. “This certification is both a recognition of the progress we’ve made as a team, and a motivation to keep pushing forward and continue the learning,” said Jaylen Calabro, Sustainability Specialist, and lead for the certification process. “We’re proud to demonstrate how regenerative farming can scale in California’s Salinas Valley and beyond.” Learn more: https://lnkd.in/eYjT6XAg
