#AlwaysRemember #VegasStrong Today we come together to remember #1October and those we lost 9 years ago in the 2017 Las #Vegas mass shooting. Even though another year has passed, we promise to #NeverForget and reflect on the impact it had and continues to have on our community.

#AlwaysRemember #NeverForget Clark County and LVMPD will co-host a 1 October Sunrise Remembrance ceremony at 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 1 at the Clark County Government Center Amphitheater in downtown Las Vegas. The event will feature the Southern Nevada Multiagency Honor Guard, a minute of silence for those lost at the October 1, 2017, shooting on the Las Vegas Strip, and remarks from Nevada Gov. Joe Lombardo, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Sheriff Kevin McMahill, Clark County Commission Chairman Michael Naft and Debby Allen of Tennessee. Debby's son, Christopher Roybal, was one of the 58 who perished in the immediate aftermath of the attack (two others later passed away from their injuries). Christopher was 28 years old and a U.S. Navy combat veteran. The ceremony will also feature an acoustic performance of the song “Scars in Heaven”, sung by Debby’s son and Christopher’s brother, Jayson Williams. Clark County and the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department are co-hosting the event with the Clark County Fire Department and the local Resiliency and Justice Center.

Continuing Clark County's investment in affordable housing. Commissioners approved $6 million in Welcome Home Community Housing Fund resources for the Paseo del Prado apartments Warm Springs and Center Rd. This funding means that 120 units will be rehabilitated to help ensure they remain affordable for another 50 years! Since the creation of the historic Welcome Home fund in 2022, the County has invested in 47 properties to increase the availability of affordable housing in our community.
