More than 100 energy projects identified. Over 1.5 million kWh and 172,000 therms saved. That's what happens when Strategic Energy Management becomes a true partnership, and it's exactly what our team, led by Brian Wirsig, Senior Program Manager for SEM, helped bring to life alongside Pacific Gas and Electric Company and Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. At CLEAResult remain grateful to our customers whose commitment to this work drives meaningful progress toward their Hop Forward sustainability goals.

It's #EnergyAwarenessMonth and at Sierra Nevada, we’re always looking for ways to make our operations more efficient and reduce our energy consumption.   Through PG&E’s Strategic Energy Management (SEM) Program, our team has worked alongside energy experts from PG&E and CLEAResult to identify opportunities across the brewery, from steam and chilling to maximizing our on-site generation.   That work has helped us identify more than 100 potential energy projects, with implemented projects contributing to savings of more than 1.5 million kWh and 172,000 therms.   We’re grateful for the expertise and partnership of Pacific Gas and Electric Company and CLEAResult as we continue working toward our Hop Forward sustainability goals.   🎥 Here’s what that collaboration looks like in action:

  • How do we build a smarter grid in years, not decades? Demand is outpacing the grid, and only about 1% of the country's transmission lines get higher-capacity conductors each year. Two federal initiatives are tackling it from different angles: advanced conductors that add capacity on existing towers, and the Genesis Mission, which uses AI to speed the path from idea to deployed technology. At CLEAResult Energetics, we work with the U.S. Department of Energy to help new energy technologies reach market. Swipe to see how it adds up. Link to our blog is in the comments.

The wires carrying power through the grid today still rely on materialsthat have been used for nearly a century: copper and aluminum They lose enough energy as heat to power millions of homes. So what could actually solve a problem that old? We asked Roisul Galib, a materials scientist at Energetics supporting the U.S. Department of Energy. His answer spans two projects he's supporting: CABLE, developing next generation conductor materials that are more efficient and affordable, and GENESIS, a national initiative using artificial intelligence (AI) to connect labs, supercomputers, and data to speed up materials discovery. Swipe through to hear it in his own words. Links to the full interview and our blog breakdown are in the comments.

  • The hardest part of leaving the military after 20 years isn’t finding a job. It's stepping into a world you’ve never worked in.  Senior Master Sergeant Jamie McClung spent 20 years in the U.S. Air Force, finishing in the top 3% of enlisted leaders, before joining CLEAResult's SkillBridge program.  Through SkillBridge, she found community, a new passion for project management, and a mission she believes in.  Read Jamie's full story: https://bit.ly/4xxbSw2 #CLEAResult #SkillBridge #VeteranEmployment #VeteransForSuccess #MilitaryTransition

What does it actually take to move a material from a lab discovery to something the country can build at scale? We sat down with Dr. Roisul Galib, Materials Engineer at CLEAResult Energetics, for a 15-minute chat to find out. Over the past decade, Galib's work has taken him from a research institute in Dhaka, Bangladesh, to earning his PhD and taking research roles across the U.S.. Moving between metals, polymers, ceramics, and semiconductors, he has always asked the same question: how does a material go from promising lab discovery to something the country can actually build on? In 2024, he brought that experience to CLEAResult Energetics, joining the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) CABLE program and the Genesis Mission, the two initiatives now reshaping how America builds and powers its grid. Here is the first 90 seconds of our conversation. The full recording and the story behind his path to DOE are in the comments.
