What does autonomous coding actually deliver in full production? Ask the health systems running it. On October 15, Colleen Stalvey, Director of Coding Services at Cedars-Sinai (and a member of the CodaMetrix CQC), joins host Rob Gilmor, Director of Product at CodaMetrix, for The Autonomous Enterprise: Diagnostic Coding at Scale — a candid conversation on a year of autonomous coding in production. And she won't be the only one at the table: more speakers from leading health systems will be announced soon. The outcomes we'll unpack: ⚙️ 70% decrease in manual coding and 30% increase in cost savings, with higher automation rates across specialties ✅ Improved coding accuracy, validated through an objective quality standard 📊 60% fewer coding-related denials and 5x faster turnaround from encounter to bill 📅 Wednesday, October 15 | 🕛 12:00 PM ET | 💻 Virtual Register now 👉 https://lnkd.in/eSHMWPHR #Webinar #AutonomousCoding #RevenueCycle #MedicalCoding #HealthcareAI #CodeForBetter

As AI plays a greater role in medical coding, it’s raising important questions about what more accurate, complete coding means for healthcare reimbursement. In Healthcare Dive, our CEO Hamid Tabatabaie shared his perspective on the debate: “When last year they submitted their claims, if they weren't using a valid system, they were missing it. And now this year, they have addressed it.” The distinction matters. AI can help surface coding that was previously missed, improving accuracy and completeness within the reimbursement system that exists today. 📣 October 1 is almost here! Jamie Noorlander (CPC, CIRCC, CPMA) and Kaitlin Rattanni, CPC, CPB break down what coding and revenue cycle teams should be watching as FY2027 begins. 👇
Every October 1, CMS refreshes the ICD-10-CM code set. This year's theme? Specificity. The FY2027 update brings 190 new codes: laterality-specific plantar fasciitis, named hereditary cancer syndromes, a dedicated code for Brugada syndrome. The code set is catching up to what precision care can diagnose. But more specific codes only help if the documentation and workflows support them and the biggest risks surface as denials weeks later, not on day one. Jamie Noorlander (CPC, CIRCC, CPMA) and Kaitlin Rattanni, CPC, CPB break down where the changes concentrate and what real readiness looks like. 👉 Read the full blog: https://lnkd.in/eyMgCErG #ICD10 #MedicalCoding #RevenueCycle #HealthIT #CodeForBetter

Inpatient professional coding is where missed charges and documentation gaps quietly cost health systems the most: in lost revenue and compliance risk. 🏥 Long encounters. Multiple providers. Documentation that spans days. It's some of the most complex, most manual work in the revenue cycle, and it's exactly where we've been focused. Our new CMX CARE™ whitepaper digs into what it actually takes to bring autonomous coding to inpatient professional billing: the clinical nuance involved, why missed charges and fragmented documentation lead to missed revenue and noncompliant coding, and how consistency, accuracy, and quality extend into the inpatient setting. If inpatient pro-fee is on your roadmap, or on your backlog, this one's worth the read. 📥 Download the whitepaper 👉 https://lnkd.in/e3Mi-Axm #InpatientCoding #AutonomousCoding #RevenueCycle #HealthcareAI #CMXCARE #CodeForBetter

15–20% of every U.S. healthcare dollar goes to administration, and a quarter of that is medical coding alone. Our Founder and CEO Hamid Tabatabaie sat down with John Driscoll to discuss why the industry is ready to move from manual, subjective coding to autonomous, objective coding and what that shift means for health systems, clinicians, and patients. Full episode here 🎧📲: https://lnkd.in/enSX7Qwv #healthcare #healthcarepodcast #aiinhealthcare #medicalcoding #revenuecycle
Healthcare administrative costs consume an estimated 15 to 20 percent of every dollar spent in the American healthcare system. A quarter of that is medical coding alone, a process that has remained largely manual, subjective, and error-prone for decades. Hamid Tabatabaie, Founder and CEO of CodaMetrix, joins host John Driscoll to discuss how autonomous coding AI is making the shift from subjective to objective coding a reality across 35 of the largest health systems in the country, and why getting the codes right is not just a billing issue but a clinical one that directly affects patient care and outcomes.
