🌟 Ever had multiple recruiters reach out to you about the exact same contract role? You’re not imagining it. Large enterprise companies often partner with several staffing agencies at the same time to fill contract positions. That means more than one agency may contact you about the exact same opportunity. What a lot of people don’t realize is that you don’t have to move forward with the first agency that reaches out! You can take a moment to decide which agency you’d prefer to work with. Take a couple calls with recruiters and learn not only about the job, but about the agency you'll be working with. Things to consider: ⭐ Benefits and time off they offer contractors ⭐ Your relationship with the recruiter representing you ⭐ How the agency supports you after you start with the client ⭐ How the agency is structured — for example, whether recruiters specialize in a specific field or work across many areas (and whether they can support you after this contract ends) Some agencies have recruiters covering everything from tech to marketing to finance, while others take a vertical specialization approach, where recruiters focus deeply on one market. At C/P, for example, each role is handled by a vertical market specialist who works closely within that specific space. That means you're not just working with someone filling one role—you’re building a connection with a recruiter who understands your industry and can potentially support you with future opportunities as well. The agency you move forward with is the one representing you to the client and supporting you during the contract, so it’s worth doing a little due diligence before deciding who that will be. ☺️

A big part of my role today is analyzing data and the patterns behind it (and yes, I’ve become a bit obsessed 🤓). Recruitment is nuanced. The more you quantify it, the easier it is to make it transactional. The real work is spotting patterns without losing the human element. Some insights from 2025 that are shaping how we’re building in 2026: ➡️ 87% of our business came from repeat partnerships ➡️ The highest contractor extensions and FT conversions came from clients we’ve met in person ➡️ Roles with clear scope and leveling closed 50% faster ➡️ Interview processes longer than 3 stages saw materially higher drop-off ➡️ 60%+ of placements came from referrals and recommendations The patterns are consistent: Consistency compounds Clarity drives velocity Deep partnerships build trust Great talent doesn’t wait When you study the patterns, you stop reacting and start building intentionally.
