About us
At Dash Bio, we're revolutionizing bioanalysis to expedite drug development. By leveraging robotics and modern software, we deliver higher-quality assays with turnaround times up to 10x faster than the industry average, scaling seamlessly from preclinical through late-stage clinical studies. While drug discovery has been revolutionized with AI and breakthrough modalities, the development phase remains bogged down by manual, labor-intensive processes. We're changing that narrative. Our tech-first products automate critical steps, reducing costs and time to market while improving quality of results. Meet Our Leadership Team: Dave Johnson, CEO: Former Chief Data and AI Officer at Moderna. Ander Tallett, COO: Led Enterprise Systems at Moderna and Resilience. Ely Porter, CSO: Co-founder and CTO of Rootpath. Together, we're crafting a future where bioanalysis is intuitive, data flows effortlessly, and drugs reach the market faster than ever before. Welcome to Dash, Andrés Bretón, as a Principal Software Engineer! Andrés has spent over 10 years at the intersection of software engineering and life sciences. He specializes in platform engineering and developer experience, and builds the infrastructure, pipelines, and internal tools that let teams move fast, operate reliably, and self-serve with confidence. What stands out is how Andrés brings the human side of software engineering into system and tool design: developer experience is the core platform responsibility, built by understanding how engineers work. We’re excited to have you with us! 🚀 💻

"The more successful AI becomes at drug discovery, the more urgently we need to reinvent drug development." Dave Johnson
The more successful AI becomes at drug discovery, the more urgently we need to reinvent drug development. A new Nature Reviews Drug Discovery paper, covered in Axios today, describes the evidence of AI's clinically relevant impact as "disappointingly limited." I'm incredibly optimistic about AI's potential, but this is an important reminder that better discovery alone won't get more medicines to patients. A promising drug candidate is still a hypothesis. Developing it requires generating evidence about whether it works, whether it's safe, and how it behaves in the body. If we dramatically expand our ability to generate candidates without improving our ability to evaluate them, we risk creating a larger backlog rather than a more productive industry. The labs, workflows, and business models that generate that evidence deserve the same level of reinvention as the algorithms generating candidates. We need to make it faster and less expensive to answer development questions, while maintaining the rigor those decisions require. At Dash Bio, that's how we think about the role of bioanalysis. The value isn't simply in running an assay faster. It's in getting reliable data into a sponsor's hands sooner so they can decide what to advance, what to change, or what to stop. AI's impact will ultimately be measured in better medicines reaching patients. Realizing that potential requires us to be just as ambitious about development as we are about discovery. https://lnkd.in/gDxDsApV

Lots of people build robots to move things. We use robots to turn biology into data, and we deeply appreciate that it landed us a Top 25 spot from Business Insider for the Most Promising Robotics Startups. A lab robot handling clinical trial samples has to be perfect every time, documented every time, and auditable under GLP. To run sponsor samples, you also have to be flexible, each assay unique. That combo is why bioanalysis stayed manual for decades while every other industry automated. We integrated the automation, software, and quality system as one platform. The result: assay results in days, prices published at dash.bio/pricing, and a market that still runs on paper records getting its first real infrastructure. The most valuable thing a robot can move is not a pallet. It is a drug program. Thank you to Cybernetix Ventures for the nomination! https://lnkd.in/gxx9Ewdt
