Bioinformatics infrastructure powering preventative health, microbiome insight, and enterprise wellness programs.

About us

Dayhoff Technologies is a bioinformatics and health intelligence company building the infrastructure behind modern preventative care. We develop high-performance genomic and microbiome analysis systems that transform complex biological data into structured, clinically responsible insight. Our platforms are designed for enterprise deployment across hospitals, insurers, corporate wellness programs, and research environments. At the core of our work is advanced bioinformatics powered by accelerated computing. Through GPU-enabled processing and optimized genomic pipelines, we dramatically reduce analysis time (330x faster) while increasing depth and reliability. This enables scalable microbiome sequencing and molecular data interpretation suitable for large populations and regulated healthcare settings. Our flagship platform, Dayhoff Health, delivers multi-sample gut microbiome insight designed to support preventative wellness programs. Rather than diagnosing disease, we provide structured health intelligence that helps organizations identify patterns earlier, support member engagement, and strengthen long-term health strategy. Dayhoff Technologies exists to make complex biology understandable, operational, and enterprise-ready. We focus on: • Bioinformatics infrastructure and genomic data processing • Microbiome sequencing and interpretation pipelines • Preventative health analytics for large populations • Enterprise wellness program enablement • Secure, scalable data systems built for enterprise environments Our work is informed by the legacy of Margaret Oakley Dayhoff, a pioneer in computational biology who helped shape the foundation of modern bioinformatics. We carry that spirit forward by building systems that bridge biology, data science, and applied healthcare innovation. If you are a hospital administrator, insurer, employer wellness leader, or research partner exploring scalable preventative health intelligence, we welcome the conversation.

  • Know Your Baseline Before Everything Changes. GLP-1 therapy can change more than the number on the scale. The Dayhoff Health GLP-1 Map is designed to give you and your provider a deeper starting point before therapy begins, and a way to understand how your biology changes over time. One at-home kit brings together: DNA Methylation Blood proteins Gut microbiome data All in one report, with 26+ biomarkers across four layers of biology. No lab visit. No appointment. No traditional blood draw. Just a clearer picture of where you started, so future changes have context. The GLP-1 Map is coming soon. • Tumor Research Just Got over 500% Faster There is a lot of conversation right now about what AI could take away from us. This is an example of what it can give back. Dayhoff Technologies Inc. and AMD reduced a complete single-cell tumor-classification workflow from 76.1 minutes to 11.6 minutes. That means researchers can move from waiting on computation to actively iterating on the science within the same working session. They can test more hypotheses, compare more results, analyze larger datasets, and make better use of the infrastructure they already have. That matters because every bottleneck removed from bioinformatics creates more room for discovery. AI and accelerated computing are not valuable simply because they make something faster. Their real value is in what that speed enables: lower computational burden, more efficient research, and a shorter path between biological questions and meaningful answers. This benchmark is not a clinical diagnosis, and it does not mean cancer can suddenly be diagnosed in 11.6 minutes. But it does show what becomes possible when advanced computing is applied to one of healthcare’s hardest problems. This is the future Dayhoff is working toward: AI that helps scientists move faster, use resources more efficiently, and ultimately build better tools for the people who need them. • Clinical-grade genomics at population scale used to be a compute problem. We built the strategy that made it solvable. We are proud to share that our Co-Founder, Inder Saini, has been recognized by PM360 Magazine as a 2026 ELITE Tech-Know Geek, honored specifically for Scalable Innovation and Strategies. PM360 is the definitive voice in pharmaceutical and health technology marketing, and this recognition reflects something precise about how Inder operates. His career has been built on a rare combination: the financial discipline to know what innovation costs, the scientific rigor to know what it requires, and the operational clarity to know how to make it scale. At Dayhoff Technologies, that has meant building a clinical microbiome platform powered by high-depth shotgun metagenomic sequencing, detecting more than 120,000 organisms at species-level resolution, and forging the infrastructure partnership with AMD that brought genomic data processing closer to real time. Inder approaches innovation as a tool for improving access and decision-making in healthcare. That is the thread running through everything Dayhoff has built. This recognition belongs to him. Congratulations, Inder!

  • A lab we worked with had avoided GPU-accelerated genomics for three years. Not because they'd tested it and had concerns. An accuracy worry was passed down through the org until no one remembered where it started or thought to check whether it still held. We ran the comparison using 50 samples. CPU pipeline vs. GPU pipeline, same inputs, same workflow stages. The results were staggering. 99% concordance. Zero clinically significant discordances. WGS processing time dropped from 9-11 hours to 30-45 minutes. The accuracy concern wasn't wrong when it formed. The evidence has changed. The part most infrastructure conversations miss: this isn't a speed problem, it's an architecture one. CPU shared memory bandwidth runs around 100 GB/s. AMD GPU dedicated bandwidth: 576 GB/s. More CPUs don't close that gap; they just cost more and degrade under concurrent sample load (3x, in our production testing). For memory-bound workloads such as microbiome taxonomy assignment, the architectural difference resulted in a 330x acceleration. WGS came in at 13-22x and single-cell at 18-28x. Those numbers don't just change how fast existing work gets done. They impact which programs are designable. If your team hasn't classified your pipeline stages as memory-bound vs. compute-bound, every hardware decision you've made has been optimizing the wrong variable. Dayhoff Technologies Inc. shows what GPU acceleration can do for genomics. Using AMD Radeon AI PRO R9700, ROCm, and HIP-optimized code, the team reported up to 330x faster microbiome analysis, plus strong gains in whole genome and single-cell sequencing. Faster secondary analysis can help labs increase throughput and shorten time to results. Read the blog to learn more: https://lnkd.in/e7RbcThf
